Adequate for intended purpose

We live in a windy coastal area but these chimes are silent unless it is blowing a gale. Really don't understand why they make no noise, are the pipes not loose enough, is the clanger in the middle too small, is the bit at the bottom too light? The one I received looks nice & is great if you don't want to annoy the neighbours.

I've had several different bamboo wind chimes of this type from amazon, and these have been by far the best.The quality of the bamboo is lovely and most of all the chiming sound is quite subtle. Very little chance of annoying the neighbours!These are a little more expensive than some of the bamboo chimes available, but I do think they are worth paying the little bit extra for. The chimes were all evenly tied, appear strong and no tangling on unwrapping either.

Very disapointed with this company.Took ages to get here.Bought for my 92 year old Auntie who is in a care home and Blind.She loves wind chimes even though she cant see them.Ethical Roots sounded a good place to buy from.Customer service just not interested.It was shown on info that it would be in a branded sealed bag,it was not.It was wrapped in brown paper bubble wrap and a black bin bag.Tied with a length of the string that the main chime was attached to.I sent it in its packaging with my aunties carer as i am not allowed to visit.The carer send me a picture of the wind chime when she opened it how badly it had been packaged.She cut the string keeping the chime together but the company had used part of the chime string to tie it together so the main part of the chime in the middle was now not attached to the chime so would not work.I contacted the company and explained by disapointment at this explaining that my Auntie was in a care home, 92 and Blind and their answer was TIE A KNOT IN THE STRING and it would hardly be noticable.Absolutley disgusted at their lack of compassion for a blind person.I paid quite a lot of money for this when they are a lot cheaper eleswhere but the Ethical heading etc etc made me buy from them.I also paid over the odds for delivery.I asked them for a small amount of compensation for the inconvienience and shoddy packing.COMPLETELY IGNORED ME not replied at all.I would never recommend this company to anyone.The chime hangs outside my Aunties ground floor room window with a Knot in the string she doesnt know as she cant see it,but had shee been a person with proper sight than they would be very upset.The company says money back guarantee but didnt offer me even a small amount.Disgusted.
