We have all these books and they're so fun. My son can read them independently and we read them together. I love the silliness of them

I love reading to my 2 1/2 and 4 year old sons before bed. Unfortunately, they’re not always the best behaved when it comes to staying seated and listening (even when they honestly want to hear a story/are genuinely engaged in a story). However, this book REALLY caught their attention. I didn’t have to struggle to keep them from getting up and straying or getting distracted. I don’t know if they paid more attention because of how much fun I personally had reading this to them? I mean, I really went to town with it - making different voices for each individual character (even when it was a group of the same animal), and I sang every time the sloth named Peter broke out in to song (which, unexpectedly, made my 4 year old giggle uncontrollably every time). But even if it was because of that, I think that gives the author even more credit, to have created a book that so engages parents, that it makes the storytelling even better for the children. Our family of five LOVES books; our sons have more books than toys (and they have a lot of toys), but this book really stands out from the rest. I didn’t hesitate to order the two follow up books in the series, and can only hope the author reads his reviews and writes another one.

This is the best little book, it's funny and touching, great from age 4 and up. The two slots are so relatable. They are very different and want different things in life but they are still best friends and help and support each other. They see and experience everything differently, a valuable life lesson and reinforcement of their friendship. Highly recommend for everybody, five hearts❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

I picked this up at the library for my 7 year old who loves graphic novels, and after reading she told me I would like it. Wow was she right, I laughed and awed and felt like it was one of the best books of all time and that everyone should read this book. So of course, I bought it immediately! A feel good story for every age!

What a wonderful and refreshing book. Two friends who are incredibly different in outlook about life but love each other all the same. I had other people read this book and they could see themselves in the two sloths. There are many layers to the book. Readable by little children for the fun of it and for adults for the many underlying messages. I have read it a number of times and am encouraged by it every time while also enjoying the fun graphics and the unique personalities of Peter and Ernesto.

It's light-heartened and fun but still portrays realistic characters. The art is engaging and simple enough for anyone who can read to follow, but still full of character. I passed it along to my nephews after reading it since it definitely seems like their jam. I think it does a great job of showing different types of people (animals) and that adventure means something different to everyone.

My 6 year old loves this series!! After reading every Piggy & Elephant book she could get her hands on she had kind of a slump. She read what she was supposed to, but wasn't picking books up to read on her own. This series changed that! The drawings are adorable, the story caught her interest, and the text isn't too overwhelming. We can't wait for the 3rd one!!

My grandson is 6, this is his new favorite book
