My favorite markers!
I love these for marking quilts for quilting and to line up seams! I use them all the time. The markers last longer than the pens do and I like that!

Gray, not black.
These yield a pleasant gray that makes me think of drawing charcoal even though the ink is very solid. Don't expect an inky black.Easy to write with. Low pressure required. Erases cleanly.

Writes Very Well and Works Pretty Good on my Rocketbook (See Attached Scan)!
I had recently purchased a Rocketbook for my graduate coursework and needed something other than their special pens to write with. I found these FriXion markers on Amazon for a pretty decent price and decided to give them a try!Trying them out for the first time, I was very impressed with the look/dry time for these markers! They look great on the page and (as the picture attached to my review shows) will show up well as a Rocketbook scan! It dries well and has lasted for a couple of weeks of notetaking! So far so good! I'm hopeful that these will last me to the end of the semester! The one gripe that I have, which is something so small, is the odor. Sometimes it can get a bit strong so I have to stop to take a break. That definitely isn't a dealbreaker...as Sharpies are even worse! If you are sensitive to smells, you may want to tread carefully with them. Honestly, I will get headaches if I'm using Sharpies too much, but these Frixion markets didn't.If you're an avid notetaker like me or have a Rocketbook of your own, these markers can be a nice addition to your collection!

Rocketbook users: Read this
On regular paper, it works and erases (technically the thermochromic ink becomes invisible with the application of heat through friction) just fine.Rocketbook users: if you're wondering whether this can be used on Rocketbook, the "technical" answer is yes. FriXion ink is the only ink you can use with Rocketbook pages, so this would be the only marker you can use (and it will wipe away with water, like the pens). The practical answer is: it depends. This ink is MUCH more prone to smearing than the FriXion pens. (See image of line drawn with smear marks shown after indicated minutes have passed.) Even after 15 minutes, there is still some degree of visible smearing. So if you're writing more than a few words/lines in a Rocketbook notebook or planner and/or flipping the page, this ink will easily smear or transfer.HOWEVER, what I got these markers for were Rocketbook's reusable Sticky Notes (they're new) — which I use for writing just a few words (a reminder, phone no., category, concept, etc.), and that's it. It's just as smearable, but the sticky notes are (for me) less likely to be smeared or transferred to another page. And they're much bolder than the pens, which makes what I write stand out better. So for the Rocketbook Sticky Notes, I would recommend them. For Rocketbook notebook and planner users — if you must have a marker, just be careful not to smear for more than 15 mins after you write with them.

Black doesn’t last as long as others
I purchased these as well as a set of three blue and various colors. I use them for tracing patterns on fabric. The black ones (these) dried up real quick, then the blue ones. I still have green, a light blue and pink from the variety pack. I would have thought the exact opposite would have happened. The pens/pencil set are great and last a really long time. I just find I prefer the marker for tracing on fabric, it’s quicker without snagging.

Easy to see on Rocketbook
It writes smoothly and is big and bold. As said, it isn't so much black as dark gray, but I like it MC more than the pens, the .7 or the 1.0 bold. It's is much better. I am talking about how it works with Rocketbook.

Erasable black marker!
I use these when I need to mark up music scores and scripts but need to be able to erase changes. Sometimes there is a leftover ghost mark, but it’s usually pretty good at erasing. It is not as strong of a black as a sharpie, slightly more translucent. It will also wipe off of other mediums that aren’t paper. Like masking tape, it won’t last.
