My tablet went from working well to not working at all (even when plugged into the charger) in about a day. This battery brought it back to life. Opening the case was the hardest part of the installation, and the tools supplied were barely adequate - be prepared to exercise a lot of patience. But once the case was open, installation was easy. Physically the battery was a perfect match to the old one, and all the screw holes lined up properly. I would advise anyone who plans to replace a phone or tablet battery to invest in a decent set of miniature tools. Having the right screwdriver is a must when dealing with all the tiny screws you will encounter. My rating for battery life is based on the life of a single charge. I don't know yet how long the battery itself will last. Overall I am very pleased with this battery.***UPDATE*** Six months later, the battery will not charge and my tablet will not boot up. I noticed for the past two days, a full 100% charge was not lasting as long as it had been. Yesterday the tablet shut itself off, and the battery will not accept a charge. I guess it's battery replacement time again. I hope the manufacturer will honor its 12 month warranty.***UPDATE*** The vendor responded to my problem by sending me a replacement battery, without delay, no questions asked. The new battery is installed, and my tablet is back in action! GREAT customer service, kudos to Tanaka Inc.!!*FINAL UPDATE* About 12 months after I installed the replacement battery it, too, died. Time to give another seller a try.

I installed this in my wife's dead Galaxy Tab A 10". The battery works great. Installation is kind of tough but that's not the batteries fault, the tablet is just hard to open up. The battery kit includes tools to help open the case but every one of them broke as I tried to pry it open. Better quality tools would be nice but in the end, even though they all broke they did open the case. Once open the battery dropped right in. All the screw holes lined up with the existing ones in the tablet too. I'd recommend this battery.

The battery is an exact fit. Correct size and connections were correct. However, no matter what I try, it will not charge past about 65 percent. It acts like it has a dead cell.

The tools broke before I could open the tablet, the battery was easy to install, but never charged more than 85%

There were no instructions with the purchase of the battery !!
