Men's Adult Pith Helmet

I volunteer at the Conservancy of SW Florida. This stylish safari hat shades my face, allows air to circulate and protects my head and face from tree debris as we clear trails and habitats.. It is not a pith helmet. It is a safari hat. Too bad the strap id decoraive and not useful as a chin strap. I added a string to secure mine from getting brushed or blown off.

Cannot wait to wear my new pith helmet out fishing in the hot sun this summer. Wore it around the house, and it does not heat up your head like a baseball cap does. The construction is top notch. Real pith, and NO plastic, and metal rivets. Leather fit straps with corduroy brow padding make for a comfortable fit. This headgear is a winner.

I am a mail carrier and ordered this instead of the plastic uniform approved ones we have. I like the leather headband and that it is an actual straw hat. Very comfortable.

Nice weight, sturdy, adjustable band. Comfortable to wear all day for a costume at the office.

Readers! A real review, for a change! Thus: this is my 03rd [or so] of this 'pith helmet'. I own and USE several types of these helmets. The one in review is a stylized copy of the late 19th Century English Pith Helmet. It is surprisingly well made, with a suspension that, to look at it, seems inadequate. But it is one of the best fitting helmet suspensions I have used. The sweatband actually works, ditto the rear adjustment hook and loop Fastner. It holds up under actual use and abuse. It is the famous 'go to' helmet for all my summer outdoor work. I have added a working chin strap and a linen hat-band [reason? you soak the band in water, and it helps to cool your head-thats the real reason for these folded cloth strips to a helmet}I have some experience with these helmets, having first worn them in Viet-Nam and for decades after in summer civil life. There is a very good reason why this helmet, in all its forms, has been with us for better than a century--IT WORKS in hot climates. I would NOT term it a Halloween type of pith helmet-this is a real and functional helmet.

WOW! I was surprised opening this pith helmet. For the price I totally expected a costume-grade, softer straw hat (which was exactly what it was bought for...). Instead, I got a sturdy, great quality pith helmet for the price! My ONLY gripe is that the velcro band for sizing could be a little longer to accommodate smaller heads - at it's smallest it's still a touch big for my 10-year old's head. Bought it for a "theme day" costume for one of my kids, expecting it to be used once or twice before it was crushed, misshapen, or unusable, but this will 100% outlast their interest in it. One of them even grabs this pith helmet to do yard work in. It has a legit suspension system in it to let air circulate around the head to the inside. Again, for the price I was surprised by the build quality and durability of this pith helmet!

This hat is amazing! I bought it to use while inspecting my bees, however, it’s so nice that I am going to try to wear it whenever I can! The hat has a fitting adjuster with Velcro so you can customize the fit. It’s very sturdy and does an excellent job of keeping sun off my face. I am very pleased with the price and the quality. Just what I was looking for!I may say that the title of the hat should not just be for men!

It is a little heavy. Blows off easy in the wind. I like the thinner light weight models. would not buy this again.
