Stride Rite Baby and Toddler Boys Riff Sandal

We love the stride rite brand! I bought a couple other shoe brands for my son when he was very little, but the nikes kept slipping off and the target cheapos just barely made it through the short period of time that my son's foot was that size. These were the third type we bought with the lure that it fit kids with wide feet well which was a huge problem for us. I love that they fit extremely well for my son(no rubbing or pinching) and come in a variety of widths. And they stay on!!They wash easily; I just threw them in the normal load with the clothes and they came out perfect.They are of very good quality too. They are just about as good as new after my first son was done with them so we have saved them for this next little one. Because of this, I think price is definitely reasonable.We have bought every size up to the maximum and I was very sad to see the Riff line did not continue indefinitely.I also love that when my son was old enough to put on his own shoes it was easy enough for him to do himself.I personally prefer the green/blue colors that we have on some of the sizes, but as gray is the dominant color here the orange can slip by mostly unnoticed, I think, but I still wish there was a truly neutral color scheme available.I also wish that the little tag that shows what size the shoe is wouldn't fall off so easily or better yet, have a different place on the shoe where it was noted. I never knew what size he was in and had to get his foot measured each time. And for my second son, we have no idea which pair comes first - we'll have to compare them side by side.Overall, great fit + great quality + washable = excellent shoe for kids.

We ordered the dark blue with orange, and the coloring is a bit off - The orange is more reddish, but I'm fine with that. I printed off the size chart to measure my 18 month old's foot from the Stride Rite website, and I recommend doing that for accuracy. These sandals are cute and flexible in the sole and no rubbing marks are left on his feet after wearing these for hours at a time (he has a a chubby ankle roll too, but wears these well). We haven't had them long enough to notice a smell yet and he's not played in the water in them. I plan to update the review later this summer after they've seen more extensive wear and tear. Cheaper than stride rite's website too, which was a perk to ordering from Amazon.

Love these for my 20m old son. Bought a 7 in the navy/orange and fit like other SR 7's we've bought (he's a solid 6.5 now but fits in these both with and without socks bc the Velcro strap at the ankle is very adjustable, unlike the keens we tried). The navy was darker than pictured and the orange was more red-orange, and I debated returning bc they weren't quite what I was expecting, but decided for the fit and quality, it wasn't worth it (obvi my son doesn't care what colors they are :)). And they look great still with every summer outfit. Soles are nice and flexible too. From the minute he tried them on, he's loved them. I have to struggle to get them off at nap time (no mommy, shoes on!) :) they look a lot like the Keens but in my opinion are much better quality - and much less expensive to boot! Win win.

I really loved these shoes for my son but unfortunately they were just too tight and had to be returned. He’s a 5.5T and they fit like a glove, but after I took them off him, there were deep red marks in his skin. The quality of these shoes seemed great although we didn’t have them long enough to judge wear and tear and everyday use. I also really liked the style, and it seemed the grip on the bottom was good.Such a shame, I really wanted these to work!

These have been absolutely wonderful. Fantastic quality and really worth the price. My son is 16months and walks, runs plays everywhere and is not gentle on these. He's played in grass, mud, sand and water and we just rinse them off, let them dry and they look like new. I love how durable and light they are. He also has pretty fat feet haha and they fit perfectly. I love stride right and after personally watching my sister buy shoes for my 3 nieces and nephews for 12 years stride rite has always been the best.

Super cute, good traction, and they have kept our 2 year old's feet cool and comfortable this summer. They definitely get smelly (probably from getting wet), but baking soda or other anti-odor powder helps. Our toddler got a blister the first week wearing them, so we rotated with another pair of sandals to give him time to build up callouses. I would buy them again.

These are our favorite shoes for our twin boys (15 months old). They love wearing them, don't have to struggle with socks, and keeps the rocks out of the shoes in the yard (compared to other more sandal-like shoes). When they get muddy, I just rinse the off in the sink. The bottom does have a lot of little grippy bumps, so mud does get caked in there. I have a brush I use to really clean them.

These are the first sandal-type of footwear I purchased for my toddler who recently started walking, and I'm so happy I went with this brand and this style. He wears these sandals for hours on end without an issue, they are great for water (or dry) play (because you never know where the day will take you), they go with every outfit, and they are breathable but rugged, and offer him the sturdy support that every wobbly toddler needs! Another plus - he cannot take these off of his feet (YET!). If you are considering purchasing these shoes - do it! You will not be disappointed.

Great fit! No complaints from my son, as most other shoes were "too tight". These are not only wide enough, but support his little flat feet which were beginning to show signs of pronation. They protect his toes from play, and yet remain quite stylish.

Great shoe. Solid. Dries quickly. Our son loves wearing them and is learning how to take his own shoes off with the velcro. Strangers come up and compliment him on his shoes in the street.
