It's up in my deer stand so all I can tell you is that you don't want to carry it real far. It's sturdy. Nice chair The one thing that would make it better is if the legs were adjustable. It's a little low so I use seat cushion on it.

Q: Can you lock the swivel?

No you cannot lock the swivel. If you are not interested in the swivel part, then you might consider a different chair that could offer more comfort/padding in replace of the swivel and one less piece to possibly make noise.

Q: Does it fold and store away easily?

Yes. The legs fold flat under the seat bottom, and the seat back folds onto the seat bottom. I don't know the exact folded height but it's probably 8" or so. Lets put it this way, it folds flat enough to be carried with the shoulder strap. It is heavy though ... you're not gonna want to carry this for miles.

Q: what is the height of the seat from the ground?

I am sorry but I can not recall. The chair is in my browning ground blind at present. However, I am 5'8 and it is very comfortable to sit hours at a time. Right height in blind and swivels fine for my crossbow. The only thing I added was arms. The costs of a chair with arms from Others was $100 and along day in stand without arms was too uncomfortable.
