Anyone use this on a Golden Retriever?

I work in a grooming shop. For Goldens we use the regular Andis deshedding tool, not the fine tooth.

I do not know but it is the one our groomer suggested and it works really well. We have a lab/Pyrenees who sheds a lot. It is a fantastic tool when used properly. A light hand is important.

Does this work on Setters? My dog has an overly fluffy coat.

I've not tried it on a Setter coat but it did work well on a client's Springer who's coat is super fluffy. I wouldn't use it on the legs or ears (longer feathers/fringe) but it was helpful with the jacket

I have two hound dogs, both with medium hair, will this work

If they need help de-shedding in the hind quarters yes it will work great. Don't use it in one spot for too long however as you can pull some of the top coat out with it, so once the loose coat is done coming out and you feel some resistance when pulling it through their hair then that's when you want to stop and move onto another area. However if they are on the finer/shorter haired side, a rubber curry comb is the best for all over the body.
