NO.17 Submersible Water Pump 20W, 1200 L/H Aquarium Pump Ultra-Quiet Pond

I bought this 40w pump to remove excess water from a pond after heavy rains overfilled it. It is a compact pump with a great flow rate that easily removed the excess water. I had no problem getting the flow started and its very quiet too. Brilliant for the price.

A good little pump works very well, the manufacturer should upgrade the pump with an automatic float switch, so the pump doesn’t run dry.

Well worth the money it quickly emptied my fish tank, which would have taken ages with buckets. So far so great.

Firstly - This review title was auto generated but is incorrect as my order states it was for the 25W, 1500L/H model. Needed a replacement pump as my 5 year old one from the same manufacturer was on its last legs. I'm only giving this 3 stars, not for the quality etc but the description... thought this was a bargain as was cheaper than the size I had (the 1200L/H model). When it arrived I instantly tought that the package was bigger than the box I had for the original one. It was; in fact the pump was about half as big again and thus too big for my needs. Reading the description again I see there are some dimensions quoted between the HY-1200 and the HY-1500 model but I missed these details. These details are missing from the larger capacity models too. On checking the details on the side of the box, it was showing that it contained the HY-1500/25W model but I have the box from my original HY-1200 model - you can clearly see that this box could also hold an HY-1500 as there is a line there for it. That's why I thought I was geting a small one again - NOT SO! The instructions also show a picture of 2 different size models with the HY-1500 being the smaller one. Confusing isn't it?? Mr Manufacturer/Amazon - please clear up this confusion by stating more clearly that there are 2 different size pumps and which models are small/large. You can't have an HY-1500 big and an HY-1500 small (or can you?). See photos for confusion or clarification (I'm not sure which...you decide...). It states that these items are oftern returned, I'm not surprised given the lack of clarity in the description. I see it's now quoting that the 25W model is 1800L/H, not 1500 - just more confusion...

Failed within 12 months, probably used for 4 complete days over that year at most. Refund received.

Powerful little pump that keeps the water moving well in my aquarium. It runs very quietly and was simple to set up. The build feels solid, and it’s been working reliably every day—great value for the price.

I have received the item and have already used it i was pleasantly surprised on how small it was but powerful enough to empty the water from my pond the only issue I could see was the bottom cover that goes over the fan keeps coming off and almost sucked some of my fish up I have glued the bottom plate on to stop this happening in the future but most of all I am very happy with the pump
