UV Shield Glove (BLACK NIGHT) Anti UV Glove for Gel Manicures with UV/LED Lamps

Gel nail polish has changed my life! Please, no comments about the life in my life. I never had the patience to wait for polish to dry. With the LED lights and UV I can now have groomed colorful nails. But, I worked as a molecular biologist for years and your skin should be shielded. The best tan in my mind, and for for my skin, is no tan. I understand it is not a big risk, but everyone has their stubborn issue, BPA, paraben, dyes, etc. These gloves fit my hands and are not so long that the nail technician is inconvenienced. I have small hands and short fingers (which look very long and slender after the polish has been applied). The above is a fact and no discussion is welcome or allowed. I am not even going to tell you how polish on my toe nails make my legs look longer since I seem to be the only person discerning enough to see this. The gloves are of good quality and they take little space in my purse.

I get my nails did every 2-4 weeks. The various nail techs have attempted to assure me that the new LED lamps "don't cause any damage". But I have a hard time believing that a device that makes my fingernails feel like they've been kissed by fire doesn't do ANYTHING to the delicate tops of my hands. Because of this, I have been slathering my hands in an extra coat of sunscreen prior to each salon visit. But I knew this method was inadequate and that I needed something more protection - something physical. I have worn UV-blocking gloves before (driving, etc). I have even tried to wear some to the salon with the fingers cut off, but the fluffiness from the gloves stuck to my polish and pissed off my hard-working nail tech. So I decided to order these babies. And they work beautifully! The cover my hands entirely, leaving just the top nail/cuticle area peaking out. I usually give my nail tech a heads-up in the beginning of my appointment that I am (rightfully, slightly) neurotic and brought some gloves to wear for the light curing process. They have me put these on after they've done their usual drilling and filing, right before they apply the polish and top coat. I'm finally able to put my hands in the nail cooker guilt-free. I bought these gloves in black so I wouldn't have anything that would interfere with my choice of nail color. They are made of a stretchy, sporty material. I'm also going to be ordering more colors, because they would also make great UV blocking gloves for outside of the nail salon. Why? They give you essential UV protection while leaving your finger tips available for sweet, sweet access to your smart phone.

These gloves are perfect. I've always been a little concerned about putting my very fair skin under the UV lights for gel manicures. Sometimes I'll put sunscreen on first but I think a lot of it gets washed off in the process of the manicure. These gloves slip on easily and fit comfortably. They are awesome! I now get my gel manicures and, once I've put my gloves on, am far less worried about age spots and cancer from too much UV exposure I loved these gloves so much that I also ordered a second pair to give to my mom. We should both protect our skin.

These are perfect length. They are very stretchy and could fit most hands

Picture implies a left and right hand glove but both gloves were the same. So when worn, logo is on top with on and on wrist with other. Seems unprofessional that way. Also fingers are a bit long and need to be rolled back for most of my clients. This gets in the way of holding the finger properly to apply enhancements.

Love these gloves! I bought the hot pink color. They were a a bit big on me but were overall very comfortable.

Magnificent! A few months ago, I chose to invest in my own LED shellac manicure set for home. I've always been hesitant because I didn't want to cause too much premature aging on my hands, which is why I was so delighted to find these beauties! What I love: - I have small, "baby" hands and these gloves fit perfectly. They are stretchy, flexible, and are easy to fold down on the few fingers they are too long for. - I feel safe when using my shellac lamp so I can focus on creating a beautiful manicure. - No itchy spots or discomfort. What needs improvement: - Nothing! The only warning I'll give is that the fingers may not cover as much length as is shown in the picture if you have larger hands. In summary, these gloves are very similar to ones I've seen at salons and are an excellent investment for the price. I'd recommend picking these up as an added safety measure when doing your own at-home manicures. Highly recommended!
