You can get cheaper things that do a similar job, and i have had those. But this is way better quality. Is it worth it, I’d say if you have an expensive camera and storage device then this is a trivial additional cost. Works very well.

Really well made little monitor mount - Stong enough to hold my montior with 2 large sony batterys attached at the back. Wish the top grip surface was a little smaller as it does cover the edge of my fealword 4Ks HDMI out port but otherwise brill!

I bought this to hold my 7 inch field monitor. I initially thought that it would need loosening as it was too stiff but after using it I find that it is almost perfect in the amount of effort needed to move the monitor. I did however buy a tool to adjust the tightness as I may need it in the future if the holder becomes loose through usage. I can recommend this holder as a safe way to mount a field monitor.

A really lightweight monitor but sturdy enough. 7 inch monitor/recorder and two batteries are the maximum payload capacity for tripod set-up, not recommended for run and gun. If you would want run and gun set up, 5 inch monitor/record with this monitor mount will be perfect. Always love Smallrig gears!!!

I’ve bought a number of Smallrig items over the last few years, from cages to magic arms, etc. Provided you do your homework prior to ordering, because they do such a wide range of gizmos that often seem very similar, but are in fact very specialised bits of kit, you really can’t go wrong. Not sure if it’s a criticism or an accolade, because I can see both points of view, but the tilt mechanism is very stiff! Very pleased! Will be getting another.

Holds my 7" Atomos Ninja inferno with 2 NPF970 batteries. I almost sold the Atomos through unsuccessful attempts to mount it securely with mini ball heads. This is a brilliantly engineered product, and one of the best small camera accessories I've ever bought. Love it.

+ Looks good and is nice quality. - A bit pricey. The rotate action is pretty stiff and if I rotate my Atomos Ninja V it spins around the thread instead of it's own pivot unless it's really tight to the Ninja, in which case I'd be worried about damaging the Ninja. It would be nice if the mounting plate had optional anti rotation pins to drop in.

Smallrig siempre da calidad a un precio aceptable. Este soporte de monitor consigue que mi monitor gire 360 grados y se pueda inclinar como si fuese un monitor de una camara RED. Y eso es comodisimo, no es una rotula de bola que la sueltas y se mueve como loca. Este soporte tiene resistencia pero la justa y necesaria, se coloca super rapido y viene con llave allen para apretarlo bien. Ahora mismo vive montado en mi monitor SmallHD y es maravilloso. Voy a pedir otro soporte para mi otra camara. 100% recomendable.

Der Monitor Mount wirkt zwar auf den ersten Blick sehr teuer, aber wenn man ihn erst einmal hat, dann merkt man, dass dieser sein Geld Wert ist! Besonders die super Verarbeitung des Produkts fällt direkt nach dem auspacken sehr positiv auf. Der Mount besteht ausschließlich aus Metall und fühlt sich deshalb super wertig und premium an. Diese Verarbeitung gibt einem auch die Sicherheit, dass der eigene Monitor nicht auf einmal runterfallen könnte. Besonders bei teuren Monitoren wie einem Atomos Recorder möchte man ja doch immer sicher sein, dass dem teuren Teil nichts passiert. Hier habe ich allerdings gar keine Bedenken. Wie gesagt nutze ich auf dem Mount einen Atomos Shogun Inferno mit zwei dicken NPF Akkus. Die gute Nachricht ist, dass auch dieser super schwere Monitor (ca. 1,1KG) ohne Probleme vom Gelenk in Position gehalten werden kann. Da ein Atomos Recorder mit einer der schwersten Monitore auf dem Markt ist würde ich mir eine Sorgen machen, dass irgendein "normaler" kleiner Kameramonitor auf dem Mount befestigt werden kann. Als Tipp empfehle ich euch noch den Mount nicht direkt auf dem Hot Schuh der Kamera zu befestigen, da diese ein so großes Gewicht meist nicht so einfach wegstecken kann und kaputt geht bei zu starker Belastung. Deshalb empfehle ich ganz klar einen Kamera Käfig mit stabileren Hot Schuh Mounts zu kaufen. Preisgünstige Optionen angepasst an jede Kamera bietet SmallRig ebenfalls und kann auch diese Käfige eigentlich nur empfehlen :) FAZIT: Wer einen guten Monitor Mount sucht kann hier ohne Bedenken zuschlagen!
