Has good balance of strategical planning both on and off of ...
I am giving it a 3 for the following reasons:PROS:1. It is a unique gaming experience for the PS3 console and adds the strategical genre to the library of games.2. Has good balance of strategical planning both on and off of the field. You have to prepare for each advance appropriately.3. Nice balance of historical infantry and vehicle warfare.4. Fun for those who like to play out historical events.CONS:1. The game play is a bit slow even for a strategy game. It just doesn't have that gripping excitement that pulls you to want to keep playing.2. Graphics and sound are mediocre.3. Strategical analysis is mediocre.All-in-all, not a bad game. If you are a strategy gamer or a WW2 buff, than you would probably want to add it to your game library even though it is probably not the best strategy game on the market.

Not what I expected, but a very fun game
I was expecting it to play out like it shows in the video, but it's not at all a "real time" action game. Instead it's a completely turn based strategy game that is refreshingly different and fun. Essentially you have control of anywhere from 2 to 8 varying units. You pick a unit and tell it to move a distance or to shoot or toss a grenade. You can do partial movement of each and switch between units until actions have been exhausted. Then you end your turn and the computer does its actions. Line of sight and the ability of your unit to spot enemies plays a big role. You start out with basic infantry and add upgraded units along the way- medics, bazooka soldiers, various tanks, engineers to fix your tanks, snipers, etc. You never get more than 8 total units though. So you have to keep a balanced force because you never know exactly what the enemy will have. Some scenarios you have to sneak a couple units about the map to reach a destination without causing too much ruckus in the process. You'll be judged on how well you perform each scenario and that will determine how much money you will gain to spend on new units or upgrading current units. It's all done in an elevated 3rd person view with a bird's eye perspective that you can move about to any angle you choose within it's limits. You can zoom in and out, but cannot get a ground level or super close zoom view. The graphics are very good in my opinion. Quite detailed and pleasing in color. The maps are not large. Typically they consist of what I would call a village. Houses, rocks, roads, tractors, fences, barrel, and boxes are there for the enemy to hide its' units behind. Careful of the concrete pill boxes and sandbagged machinegun or artillery emplacements. If you're looking for fast paced real time button clicking action do not buy this game. In order to appreciate this game you have to like to strategize and plan. You'll be asking yourself- What moves do I need to make to destroy that enemy tank I just revealed? How can I do it in a way to minimize damage to my units? If I sneak up to knife this soldier, will that put my unit in sight of this other one? What route can I take across this map to minimize the chance of running into a tank with my airborne ranger and medic? What units will make the best balanced force? To eliminate whatever I come in contact with? The game is not perfect. There can be some frustrating aspects. The first time I started playing through a campaign I eventually found myself in a scenario facing multiple tanks, but without the capability to eliminate more than one. The only unit I had that would cause damage to a tank was my tank. My tank could not out range the enemy tanks, so it was going to take damage. There is no way to repair tanks other than using an engineer, which I had not unlocked yet. So, I started the campaign over. Lesson learned, don't spend all your money on better infantry units. You cannot occupy structures. They are solid objects that only block vision or provide cover from certain angles. There are things that don't make realistic sense. A M24 Chaffee light tank can go head to head with a Panther and win... Bazookas have more range than the machinegun on a M24 Chaffee. Just keep in mind it's a game and don't set your expectations for realism too high. That's not what the game designers had in mind. This is one of the few military themed turn based PS3 strategy games I have ever run across and I think it's great. It's a lot of fun and worth every penny I paid for it. I wish there were more similar games or that this game was turned into a series.

Good For Turn-Based
I have never been a fan of turn-based games. But have been expanding my tastes a little lately. This is a good game, I'm not sure about the historical accuracy of it, but it's fun none-the-less.Some missions are a bit repetitive, easier levels may be too easy (with one shot killing the enemy, and it taking multiple shots to kill your own guys)... but it wouldn't be fun for any ages if it was one shot kills all the way around.

Horrible
This game is horrible.Wow 2013 and this is what we get. Nothing is destructable, mechanics are flawed, graphics are shabby.I love strategy games so this was worth a few hours of my time, but dont pay more than $10

It's okay :/
I bought this game because I am a big fan of turn-based strategy games. I had somewhat optimistic expectations for this game, though that may have been too much. The game itself is fairly straightforward, the gameplay is okay, the theme is straightforward, the only problem is your rewards do not accumulate fast enough to keep up with the escalating difficulty levels. Also would like it if you could save the game during a level as opposed to only after completing a level. Overall buy it if you are a hardcore turn-based strategy gamer, otherwise I would avoid it.

This game was excellent!
I bought this game for my youngest son because this game does not have any online trophies whatsoever. He played the game sometime after it arrived, and it worked like a charm. So far, he completed the tutorial for the game. Who knows? Maybe he can give it another chance someday.

Not another Call of Duty shooter.
Well, if you're looking for a call of duty shooter type game, keep looking. This is a hybrid, old school "strategic" warfare meets ages of empire game. Makes you think about your moves, make them and then watch the resulting battle action. It's a simple, no frills game worth the $18.00 break from the shooter action.

Awful
I played better games on my Intelevision. The grapchis are terrible, and the premise of the game is awful. Waste of money
