DanskinWomen's Essential 7" Bike Short

Great for Running!
I wanted mid- to low- wasted bike shorts for running because a lower waist is more flattering on my body type (nothing against high-waisted apparel). These sit about a half inch or inch below my bellybutton and look so flattering! They also stay put when I run, which helps with any rubbing between the thighs (I'm about 5'5" and 135-140 lbs and suffer the chub rub in my thighs). These cure any discomfort and look fantastic with just this and a sports bra!I just wanted to say that it was SO difficult to find these specific bike shorts with these features: cotton blend, long enough in the leg (6"-7" range), and mid- to low-rise! I'm so happy I found this brand! :)(also, apologies for the ridiculously messy room...I'm currently sorting through things to get rid of) :)

Great shorts for under dresses, esp plus size
I have been super pleased with these shorts!! They did run a bit bigger/longer than I expected, but that's likely because I'm short. I got these to wear under dresses to prevent Chub Rub, and they have been fantastic. They don't ride up, they're moisture-wicking, and super comfortable all day. Being short and fat with proportional fat distribution [read: my thighs are fat, and so is my butt], I was thrilled to find these fit *everywhere*. I know this review seems enthusiastic and glowing, but when you have as much trouble finding clothes that fit well and do their job as I do, you'd be hyped too =PAll that said, some things to note for others: I do have to wear these with the waistband up above my navel/below bust due to its height, but this does help smoothe my silhouette; I have short legs with a long torso, since that's relevant. The elastic of the band is wide and seems a little stiff, but if you keep it up above any tummy pooching [near the underbust], it's pretty unnoticeable - I hate feeling clothes bind, constrict, rub, or put undue pressure, and it didn't bother me. They ARE long enough that they barely or almost show below my skirts that are a little above knee-length, but again, I've short legs so take that into account. Most folks didn't notice it. Also, it takes a little wiggling to get the crotch area tucked up agains the body, but if you're gentle in the pulling and wiggling, this won't stretch out the shorts [much] and they offer a nice, form-hugging but not constricting fit.

Love the feel
I work from home and wanted a comfortable cotton - feeling short to wear during the day, and to work out. I agree with other reviewers that said these are not compression shorts, but they are comfortable. I got a 2X but should have gotten a 1X because they feel a little saggy by the middle of the day. Will buy again.

HARDLY ANY ROLLING even if you are fat like me.!
IF you have a bit stomach, which I do, but am losing, these can roll. You know, when the whole honking 3 inch elastic thing rolls? Then you know you are fat. At least I did. You can get really depressed by reading all the reviews and see who says "never rolls" and "just barely bent a bit, but no rolling."How fat do I have to be to get a good roll going you ask? Well, I was 185 and 5'9", with 40% fat according to my scale which has very little way of measuring that (electrical impedance only). Now I a svelte obese at 175...same height...and only 30%fat. The shorts do not roll unless I eat a huge dinner. OH, and even when I was 185 lbs, if I tightened my "core," and my stomach was flattened, there was no roll. I think if you are my height with no muscle to speak of you should be about 155 to be able to relax your gut and not roll the waist. I have to say, though, that these are very rolle resistant waist bands for most tight pants.I like these for the COMPRESSION and WARMTH, which feels good for my arthritic hips.I do NOT like the fact that they have NO POCKETs like all womens compression pants. You might get a key pocket if you are lucky.....not here.I like the price--I got them super cheap for a Danskin product, somewhere in the 20.00 neighborhood. Maybe on sale. Sorry if you did not and this review is less useful to you. DOn't you hate that?

Super comfy
I do take dance classes, but I bought these to wear under my riding breeches instead of regular undies with a seam between the top of my thigh and bottom. They’re good-looking, cut well (no chafing) and the material is soft and seems durable but not heavy.

Ehhhh I'm conflicted
Pros:- comfy- soft- good length- great for sleeping- great under dresses and skirtsCons:- thin- stretches out quicklyI used to get these years ago when they were thicker and more durable. They are not that now, they are thin and stretch out quickly. I like the waist band, it doesn't give me muffin top. I got another 3 pack of black bike shorts on Amazon and the waist band was so skinny it was awful. These are nice and wide and blend in to your body really well. They are like a second skin. Super comfortable. I wish they were thicker like they used to be. And no pockets.Overall, I love these shorts, they are my favorite shorts. But they should not cost $20 and they should not stretch out as quickly as they do.

Uncomfortable material, no stretch
Why did you pick this product vs others?:Material was very see through and not stretchy, it was also rough and uncomfortable. I’ve only ever bought leggings and biker shorts for years from this brand because they were double lined and not see through. Recently they’ve changed the material of everything. Look like I’ll be finding another brand :(

Perfect for hot weather.
I have several different danskin 'shorts' these are thinner than my other ones, which is exactly what i wanted for the hot summer shorts. These are very casual so i wear when i'm at home lounging/ gardening/checking the mail etc. I went up a size for a slightly oversized fit and they fit just as a wanted, not tighter as seen on the model.
