Vallejo WWII Allied Model Air Paint, 17ml (Pack of 16)

Good quality paint. Excellent color matching for the theme. I like the application method. Small amounts. If that’s all you need. Definitely recommended thank you very much.

The first thing to note about buying Vallejo paints from Amazon is that for some reason the listings are not all accurate, which leads to confusion on what you are actually buying. It appears that some listings have the wrong picture and / or description, so what you see or read about may not actually be the information for the set you chose by the title. You can also find different descriptions depending on whether you are using a mobile device or browser to view the item. I can often see the colors in the set listed in the description on the mobile app, but never if I am using a browser, but the mobile listings are not always accurate either. That said, every purchase I have made I have received the TITLED item, regardless of picture or description. I suggest downloading a catalog from Vallejo which includes their colors at time of publication and the sets they offer with their contents clearly listed, then buy them BY TITLE from Amazon. So far, this has worked for me for several purchases. As far as the paints go, I was an old fashioned modeler, I insisted on using the old enamel products for years, but they were getting harder to find, and I hated the amount of waste I had if I used an airbrush by the time I used an eye dropper to extract and thin the paint for spraying. Not to mention that thinning the enamels would often times cause a slight change in the actual color that laid down on the model, so if you later did any touch up by brush, or a different coat, it could lead to different shades of paint. So I ended up getting into a few acrylic paints and washes over time for shades I couldn't find any other way, but then I had to make sure everything was fully cured or sealed before swapping from enamel to acrylic or I would end up with a nasty mess and ruined model. This all led me to trying this "Model Air" line by Vallejo, and I am sold! They are so easy to spray without the need to thin them down. If I am doing a large surface I will use some Flow Improver to keep the air brush from drying up on me, but I use the recommend 2 drops of improver to 10 drops paint, so it doesn't change the color at all and is very easy to duplicate. The dropper bottles are awesome, I have MUCH less waste, no more lids drying on the bottle either since they clean easy and and are plastic so the don't 'glue' themselves together. They also dry very fast, so buy the time I am done with the first coat on the entire project the first pieces are typically ready for the second coat. Lastly, they brush well for touch up or small areas too. I will also note that they have handy storage solutions that work great and help keep your hobby area organized, just be careful when putting them together. And their Primers are great and easy to spray through an airbrush too.

This paint bundle is more than worth the money. I needed all of these colors, and it did not disappoint. The quality is insanely good, the bottles offer good coverage, the paint works well, and the smoothness of the paint is amazing (which is critical when dealing with models). Overall 11/10 will buy again.

Vallejo paints are high quality. What made this a great purchase was the service I received. When the packaged arrived one of the paint bottles was broken and had leaked all over the other paints. I contacted the seller and without hesitation a replacement was sent. Kudos.

This was a good quality set of paint colors ,however it was the incorrect set. The seller replaced it with the correct set quickly at no extra charge! I would recommend this type of Paint set it gives you all of the specific colors you need for a specific era My set was mid to end of world war 2 German Lufftwaffe RLM colors.

Vallejo makes great paints for all kinds of figures; that said, I was looking to get some Civil War-specific colors, after spending years in the fantasy color section of the hobby shop, getting colors like "orc skin," "dragon blood." There are some nice colors here, especially the light grey and blue-grey colors for trousers for both sides. I guess the "golden brown" color represents butternut. There are a couple of colors that puzzle me; one is the two colors of blue: Oxford Blue and Intense Blue. I'm not sure the need for two dark blues. Also there is a dark green (RLM) included. Not too sure about that. The greasy iron is actually a pretty shiny silver. The biggest disappointment is the lack of brass or bronze colors. There are two flesh tones, and I know these are designed to be blended and even thinned. If these colors included a flesh wash, bronze and brass, I would have given it four stars. However, I'm happy with the colors I have. I just finished a 75mm Confederate Cavalryman from Michael Roberts Ltd. using some of the colors. I'm satisfied.

The sheer variety of available colors, textures, stains, and effects from Vallejo is amazing. The bottles may only be 0.8 ounces, but the coverage area & color saturation are equivalent to the larger 2-ounce bottles of craft paint. And when using an airbrush, only 8-10 drops + thinner is enough to get a good-sized reservoir of paint. Vallejo Air is already thinned to go straight from the bottle to the airbrush. For hobbyists who are perfectionists, they sell era-specific colors, like Revolutionary War colors, Civil War colors, and WWII American Forces, British Forces, & German Forces colors. They sell color packs for the different Rail Lines for HO hobbyists. It really takes the trial & error of searching for or mixing to get the correct color schemes. I'm a diehard fan of Vallejo & use it for all of my projects.

Added more colors to the stash. I really like the Vallejo Acrylic paints
