Great adhesion, just be sure that you pull the tape off of the back of the strip only and not the adhesive strip too! Not super/annoyingly bright, but it largely depends on where you place the strips. If you have a smaller tv you may be able to place the strips at the ends of the tv back, maximizing brightness, but we but them on a 70" tv, so we had to place the strips about 5" in on the tv back in all directions because there isn't a lot of slack in the wiring of the light set. The end result is a very smooth transition from the tv backlight to the dark walls (assuming that you're watching tv in the dark). The only lacking thing in the kit is the remote, because the module that receives the remote signal is supposed to be able to be on the back of the tv, out of sight. But, unless the module and the remote are able to see each other with no visual obstructions, you're going to have a hard time changing the colors. I just get up and point the remote at the back of the tv, but it may annoy some people. You could always place the module on the side bezel of the tv like I did initially, but it looks sloppy with the wires illuminated by the backlight. You can also set your tv to power off the USB port so that these lights turn off with the tv, and the light set does remember which color was on last. It's a good set and I recommend it.

Just bought this a week ago and started using it two days ago. Do not be overwhelmed by what to do. It's easy to apply just by looking at the strips. It fits good on my 55 inch TV. The whole strip has a sticky padding so you don't have to worry about providing your own as you peel them off and attach them to the back of the TV anywhere. Remote is also a great feature as I can control the speed and color of the lights. It also has a way for the lights to dance to the music which is a great feature. It also uses a usb plug on the back of the TV to power the lights and its awesome.My main reason for this product is to help me with eye strain while watching in the dark.It creates enough LED ambient light enough for me to focus on the TV and also, creating a mood which I can adjust the lights to. For example, for me using bluish light on Sci Fi movies, using yellowish light on comedy, or red on horror (I don't watch horror but if I did red would be the color I would choose). I have white wall so the colors are very bright and bounces off the wall creating enough light (sometimes brighter then the TV).So far, this product is awesome and I would recommend it to make the TV look better and to help you with eye strains.

These fit my new 55 inch LG perfectly. I have backlights on the other TVs in my house. It makes such a big difference. Great ambiance and helps with eye strain. These went on very nicely. Very sticky. There’s a flexible cable connecting each section which seems to work so much better than the ones you have to connect. There’s a built in controller on the lights which is really nice because let’s face it, you are going to lose that tiny remote at some point. All of these types of lights are designed to plug into the TV set via usb and are supposed to go on/off with the tv. I say supposed to because I have similar lights (different brand) on my other sets that have never functioned like they are supposed to and I actually got smart plugs to control them. This is the first set of backlights that is actually performing as the are supposed to and I’m so excited! Every tv in my house is a different brand - not sure if that has anything to do with it, it’s just been my experience. The only complaint is these don’t seem to be as bright as my others though brightness does seem to vary a bit depending on which color you select. Brightness can be adjusted via remote.

I originally bought the newer version which was only 6 ft and wanted something longer for my 55' TV so I decided to by this one was longer and had a remote control. I did not know this was a older version. That being said this means it did not have the ability to be controlled through your phone or any smart home devices. A way around this might be to just plug it into a smart plug or something. This version definitely is not as bright as the newer version. However despite not being able to control through your phone and not being as bright I still absolutely loved it. It still looks stunning on my tv and the set up was super easy. Fortunately it was bright enough to illuminate around my tv and the remote control was convenient and responsive.

I am very impressed with the variety of choices on the remote. The product is made very well and the remote is truly impressive and innovative. I didn't dislike anything. It fit perfectly to what I wanted it for. The adhesive backing on the LED strips is very strong (very tacky) and will securely hold the strips onto clean, dry, fat or curved surfaces. It took me fifteen minutes to install. I used a USB charger instead of the USB power from the PC and it worked fine. Once installed it added just the right amount of background light I wanted. Not strong, just a good presence that highlights the object you use it for. It's a mood thing! Buy it, you'll love it.

I had been wanting to get some version of backlighting for a while, and finally decided to pull the trigger. It was easy to install, but don't make the same mistake I did; heat up the LED strip prior to removing the backing like the directions say. Otherwise, the adhesive may come off on the packing backing instead of staying on the LED strip.I was pleasantly surprised at the brightness, even in a semi-lit room it is prominent. The colors are bold, and there are different modes programmed in, from a rotating pattern to one that picks up ambient noise to change the colors. Or you can just choose one if you want.My only complaint is the remote control, it sometimes takes several button presses to change the color or mode. I still give the product 5 stars as you will rarely use the remote once you find a setting you like.
