This grill pan is a game-changer for our family as we love to harvest oysters during the winter and were able to use these pans on our open fire, on our gas grill and oven. It can’t be more versatile.I love the versatility of this pan. While it's perfect for grilling up to 12 individual oysters at once, it's also great for cooking and serving anything else you can think to cook with cast iron. We cooked hushpuppies and cookies as well as shrimp scampi. The 12-cavity design allows for efficient cooking, whether you're preparing a meal for your family or hosting a dinner party with friends.The measurements of this grill pan are also worth noting. It's sturdy yet manageable, weighing 8.6 pounds and measuring 13.25 x 19.25 x 1 inches. It fits perfectly on my stovetop and is oven-safe, giving me the flexibility to cook however I please.The only part of the pans that did not meet the mark was the claims of a non-stick coating, I found that food still adhered stubbornly to the surface, making cleanup more of a hassle than anticipated. I ended up oiling the pans to help with the oysters sticking. .All in all however, I recommend the Outset 76225 Cast Iron Oyster Grill Pan to anyone looking to elevate their cooking game. Its durability, and multi-purpose functionality make it a must-have in any kitchen. Whether you're a seafood enthusiast or just love to experiment with new recipes, this grill pan is sure to impress!

My wife and I went to this famous seafood restaurant and ordered the oyster platter. Onced we received our food, I realized I could make the same thing at home. I ordered this oyster platter and haven't looked back. The platter gives the oysters that restaurant look and most importantly, taste! We ordered two more!

After using this a number of times there are a few things that are great and other things that are frustrating.Overall this is well made and really helps keep oysters from spilling over. It’s a great size and works well for charbroiling.So what the bad part? The casting texture is so rough it’s almost impossible to clean. This is much more rough than any other cast iron I have used

This pan is great for keeping oysters from spilling while cooking. It’s also great for entertaining or transport cooked oysters. The casting is kind of low quality; it is very porous with uneven smoothness but for the price I guess it’s fair - you’re getting what you paid for. It is sturdy and easy to use but because of the lower quality casting it is difficult to clean.

I love oysters and I cannot lie. This plater works so well you cannot mess up your cook. It fits perfectly on the grill grate of a 22” Weber kettle. I suggest you bring your temperature up to around 400f. I used indirect cooking with 6 of the cavities filled. Of course there was some spilling of the garlic butter concoction I applied and I found that the pre seasoned cast iron simply wiped away clean with a damp cloth. After throughly drying the unit a very light coat of Canola was applied to the cooking and reverse side.I highly recommend this cooker.

The cups in this pan are large so they work well with gulf or other large oysters, but I grilled up some smaller ones and they didn't have any problem in this pan.
