Heavy in weight & nice thickness to the actual glass. The bottom of the glass has is thick. The engraving is lovely. Overall good quality.

I've order this mug twice and I would've given five stars but there was one issue when I first ordered this mug. When I ordered it for my Dad's birthday, I was away from my parents house but still sent it anyway. Everyone in my house said that the package never came, which isn’t surprising since packages get stolen in my building. I didn't ask for a refund or to have it sent again since it was my Dad's birthday and I was away so I could not get anything for him in time. Instead, I decided to order this again when I was at home for Father's day. I knew that, now that I was home, I would definitely get this package. I'm happy to say, I did get it!! I checked the mug before I gave it to my Dad (who isn't big on gifts). The etching is clean, the mug is a bit heavy which tells me it's pretty sturdy, and it's bigger in person than I thought which was great since I was worried it would be too small for my Dad. While I haven't given it to him yet, I know no Dr a fact he'll love it since his other mug is metal, light, and can get a dent in it easily. While his metal mug is the matching of my metal mug, I hope this new glass etched mug is one he'll treasure more since it's a one of a kind!

I got myself a similar glass from my alma mater 20 years ago. The stamp on the outside is slowly wearing away, but the glass has held strong. I wanted something similar when I finally got my Masters Degree, but the bookstore only offered one size (too small) and the same non-durable stamp on the outside (for almost twice what I paid here). This glass is durable, but so is the laser etching on the outside - I won't have to worry about it wearing off because it's engraved into the glass. It came almost 48 hours after I ordered it, looks better than the university book store one, and obviously the price is much better. 5 stars.
