I ordered this two years ago and most of the items arrived broken but I ordered more yesterday. Delivered today not a single item broken, beautiful to look at. Can't wait to put my Christmas dinner on them in a couple of days.

I received the shipment yesterday. There was a cup with a broken cup handle.

I do not claim about the product. I really suggest to Amazon consumers to consider again if you have any plan to purchase chinawares from Amazon. When I received the item, I found 2 plates were broken, so I applied replacement item. Then, I could find 5 broken plates in the box of the replacement item. The problem is simple - Amazon do not put any fillings. Of course they covered the original box with air cushions and put papers in the empty space between the original box and outer package. However, they do nothing for inside of the original box. I think it is the reason of all the broken plates. Coming back to this dining set - good shape and quality. Especially, I like the unique shape of tea cup, and I am totally satisfied with the quality of metallic painting on the edge of chinawares. But it does not mean that this china dining set is durable enough to take a trip from Dunfermline to Kent without any fillings inside of its box.

They were lovely, but had to send back as the packaging was not suitable and the bottom dish was broken. Sent back for a replacement to get the next few days. They will be a nice addition to my dishes. Hoping they will not be broken this time. They came fast the first time. Also Amazon this needs to be changed on your web page - FYI all the Royal Albert Old Country Rose Products description needs to be changed. In one area it says it is dishwasher safe which it is not? Then in another area it says it is hand wash only which this is right. This really needs to be changed it is giving people false information. Not good. Please change ASAP.

Sizing and matching to inherited plates from over 25 years ago was perfect. I was most concerned about chips or damage from shipping, but they arrived in pristine condition. I needed another 4 plates with the growth of family for a special dinner. My mom and I have always used a gentle dishwasher powder, not the stuff you use for everyday use, so the gold has been preserved. I use Norwex, but I’m sure another gentle soda would work. Just make sure the plates are not touching, just like doing other things like fine crystal in the dishwasher. Couldn’t find the plates locally, so looked on Amazon. Very happy with my purchase!
