Adobe InDesign CC: A Complete Course and Compendium of Features (Course and Compendium, 1)

Very informative and useful.

This is such a great book to start learning your way around InDesign. I would classify myself as a very green beginner and have found this book to be extremely clear and easy to use. Seems very comprehensive. It works very well to move back and forth between the exercises and the longer detailed explanations of how to use the various features. Highly recommend.

Because Adobe products are cloud-based, they are in constant change. As a result, a book like this -- just two years old -- is out of date. Many of the screen shots no longer match what's on your computer screen. Many text descriptions, as well, are wrong because the program has changed. Certainly, there is much in the book that has utility, but do not expect to get full value.

Great for beginners, but not complete beginners. Take a class in parallel and enjoy this book explanations. It will be easier for you and clearer. InDesign I'd a great software to make beautiful magazine layouts, add pictures from PSD and illustrations from Illustrator, make booklets, poster etc. But you need to know the typographical rules and have a minimum of graphic design knowledge. Then a whole world will wait for you. Enjoy!!

I needed this text for class and it arrived very quickly and has some great information for what I needed to learn.

This was worth buying if you want to know how to use InDesign. The templates that you download are great. I got the Kindle version of the book and the formatting was good. I worked my way through the tutorials. I have some Udemy tutorials for InDesign but these were more helpful. The Compendium is HUGE, though. I wish there were a sequel to this book with more on just making really good ebooks.

This book serves the purpose that it claims to. A complete course, and a compendium of features.I love how the compendium "tabs" are listed at the side of each page. Nice touch.

Great division, easy to find help with specifics.

Having tried the Adobe "classroom" books for Photoshop and Ilustrator, I thought I'd try another range for learning InDesign, and I'm glad I did. Easy to follow, great illustrations and very comprehensive. And it's pretty to look at. Recommended.

Apart from the superb layout of all of this book, the content matches the outside. Well written easy to understand. A definite volume for your bookshelves if you are a designer.

El texto está escrito en un tono didáctico que anticipa las dificultades, replanteándolas de manera que puedan ser superadas. Al mismo tiempo, alienta al lector a continuar con los ejercicios a partir del reconocimiento de los logros. Lo recomiendo para alguien que comienza de cero y quiere hacer cosas concretas. Y sí, el curso avanza con proyectos concretos que van subiendo los niveles de adquisición de conocimientos y habilidades con la actitud correcta. En la segunda parte hay un compendio de conocimientos y el texto va interactuando entre ambas partes, reenviando al lector, si él lo juzga necesario, a otras partes del libro. Me encantó el libro y lo recomiendo ampliamente.

I just started reading the book and i already love it. It is very detail and it explains why something is done. I haven’t even open the Indesign app and i’ve already feel like i know a lot about it although i’m a beginner.
