Completely Satisfied
This is a really nice little radio-cassette recorder. Portable so that it fits in a glove compartment or kitchen counter. Surprisingly good sound. We'll worth the price!

Great...so far.
Edit 1/4/21: Finally, got around to recording via radio and results are as expected, a pretty noisy sound floor. It's workable for me, but do not expect great recordings via the radio.Received about a week ago and so far am pleased with this tape player/ recorder. I've listened to about a dozen tapes thus far and have no major complaints. Do note that the unit is all mono, which may be a deal breaker for you. I have yet to record anything yet, but will update when accomplished. Concerning the built in battery, I haven't utilized it yet and most likely won't bother. Battery life on AA's seems respectable. Both AM and FM reception are great. I live near a major metropolitan area where both dials are full so YMMV. The dial on the unit is small, so fine tuning may be a little fiddly. Very glad it has a telescoping antennaThe unit is easy to operate and the controls/ buttons are well thought out. With headphones it gets sufficiently loud enough for these old ears. Volume with the built in speaker is good at close range and more than adequate. Fit and finish seem to be quality for such an inexpensive cassette player/ recorder; however, the unit is a little thicker than a standard Walkman-type player. Overall, it seems to be built solidly and may take some abuse.Just for kicks, I played a Classical music pre-recorded cassette recorded in HX ( Headroom eXention) Pro and Dolby S noise reduction via headphones. Though in mono, the result was impressive. I'm betting a a professional mono recording would sound fantastic. My only real quibbles are: I wish the headphone jack was stereo and I wish it had a belt clip. A tuning light for the radio would be handy, too.I really hope it holds up...with proper care it just might.

A Good Full Featured Walkman For The Price
This Walkman has good DSP AM-FM reception that locks on to the stations with good clear reception, and also it plays and records from the radio (in mono). It has a microphone input for use with a microphone or a attenuated mono cable for to plug into another radio receiver like a short wave portable radio to record your favorite shows and transmissions on SW. The good thing about this cassette recorder is that when the tape is done recording, it has auto stop. The FM reception comes from the telescoping rod antenna when does not need to depend on a headphone cord like other walkmans which means you can improve reception by clipping a wire antenna or dipole antenna. It has a built in battery that you can recharge by yourself using USB port instead of using 2 AA batteries all of the time. It's a great walkman for mono recordings, hopefully one day they will come out with one with the SW bands and it's in stereo. I have not recorded or played cassette tapes in a long time, and now since i have this walkman I am able to do so right now.

Nice throwback device
It's a cool little throwback device that I haven't used in decades. I bought this to listen to very old cassette tapes. The radio sounds great and works well. However it's ate through a lot of my old cassettes, but that's not necessarily its fault. It's very durable and obviously portable. The cassettes that worked sounded fine and the radio sounded perfect.

Trash!!!
I bought this because I am doing some audio journaling… This was a horrible purchase. Luckily, I tried it immediately and realized that it was not going to work and returned it and got a full refund…I actually returned it and bought a vintage Sony on eBay from the 1970s… It’s pretty sad that some thing from the 1970s works better than something that was probably manufactured less than a year ago!It had a horrible hissing sound when you played the recording back… like to the point of you couldn’t even understand what I was saying on the tape and I was using good tapes so it was not the tape.*** I actually tried four different tapes to see if that was the problem but no it was the unit!I do not recommend this product. I returned it for a full refund, because of the horrible hissing sound and inability to record my voice, and be able to playback and understand what I was saying.BUY VINTAGE!

Better than expected
Yankees were on Apple TV so I listened to play by play on this radio. For the price I wasn’t expecting much but it did the job when using the antenna. Also cassette player was ok too.

The price is very good for the product I received
For the price it is a good buy. It is very clear whether you're listening to a tape or just listening to the radio
