Okay, so I'm not gonna lie, I was a bit hesitant to buy this Wahl Elite Pro kit back in 2016. I was tired of paying for haircuts. I figured it was worth a shot.My wife is not a hair dresser but she helps cut my hair and these clippers are still going strong. They've paid for themselves many, many times over.What I love most is how reliable they are. The motor is powerful, and they cut through my hair (which isn't the easiest to manage) without any snags. The self-sharpening blades are a lifesaver; they've stayed sharp all these years.The guide combs are also really sturdy. The stainless steel clips give me confidence that they won't pop off mid-cut, which is a huge plus. And the long cord? It's a small thing, but it makes a big difference when you're trying to reach all those angles.The whole kit is pretty comprehensive. You get everything you need to get started, and the storage case keeps everything organized.Honestly, I'm just impressed with the longevity of this product. It's a testament to its quality. Has a high quality feel, and is pretty heavy. I found the carrying case to be a nice bonus, and all the attachments fit with ease, and all store away conveniently in the case. The inclusion of the scissors, and the barbers cape were much appreciated too. As a guy who hadn’t had a haircut since pre covid, my hair was extremely long. I kinda used it as an excuse to grow my hair out one last time as an adult, and take advantage of it I did. I felt like if I was going to cut it, I wanted to do it myself. Plus, even at run of the mill places, a haircut is still at least $20, although, my regular place pre covid was roughly $35. Meaning, in just two or three cuts, this set of clippers has already paid for itself. I was a little nervous at first, but after preparing myself mentally, I had no issue going through with it. I appreciate the level of power this set of clippers has, it’s legit, and it’s something you could expect to see your barber to using. The power cable is pretty huge, and heavy. For someone looking to cut hair all day, I suppose I could see the weight being an issue. But, as someone who is using this for personal use, it’s perfect. I have a Chow Chow, and I’m fairly confident that I could use this set of clippers to shave him with no issues. Of course, I feel like power is rarely questioned, since this isn’t a cordless set of clippers. For the money, I felt like this was a great buy, and definitely worth every penny. The combination of bonus items, from the case, the barbers cape (which I didn’t use, but quickly regretted not using) the scissors, and all the attachment's, make this an easy recommendation. For now, I just use one size all over, but hopefully in time, I can become more confident and more comfortable and use different sized blades on the sides, and top.TL;DR: High quality clippers with lots of blade attachments, scissors, barbers cape, and a convenient stowaway case. It’s simple to use, and cuts great, even for someone like myself who had never used a pair of clippers on anything. The weight, feel, and quality are similar to what I’d expect a professional to use. For the price, it’s hard to beat, and I give it my full recommendation. Just make sure you oil the blades, and clean it up nicely after using. It should last you a very long time with proper care and maintenance. And it should only take two or three cuts before it pays for itself. If you’re new like I was, I’d recommend checking out some YouTube tutorials on tips and techniques for cutting your own hair. Way worth the extra cash to go to the professional series. The blade cuts so much better. Love the case with cape and all the guards. Great power and easy to switch different guards. Not too heavy. I didn't find any lighter that are plugged in, but they're more reliable than battery operated.

We just got ours in today so far so good looks nice feel strong we have a company here with it will let you know and update how it works when you cut hair with you in a couple days.1. We oil the blades like they said2. We cut hair worked well without pulling hair, it cut through the hair really well so effortlessly, we have the cheaper model we had it for several years and the motors having some issues but this new deluxe model definitely is an improvement over the cheaper model.3. Wahl says this is 15% more powerful than any other handheld they currently own on the market today ( compared to Wahi other handhelds only ). We've owned there others so we will see shortly this week after we cut some hair feels stronger when we turn it on to their other unit which is approximately $20 versus this one which is about $49.Update 1 20 2016: This unit is definitely stronger am a Cutthrough thicker hair without pulling your hair as you cut it you can definitely cut hair faster due to the motor powerful it can handle a little bit more load on the cutting blades4. The accessory combs are definitely better made than the regular standard model ones, we have both and these are much thicker and better made stronger plastic.Update 1 20 2016: after using The accessories 100% much stronger and cutting through the hair they don't bend or move around at all which makes it really nice. These accessories much better then the cheap model hundred percentUpdated 2016: The stronger motor definitely makes it easier for the clippers to cut through the hair so if they upgrade the motor again it would probably be even another improvement but we haven't had any trouble cutting medium to semi thick hair so far. We believe the motor needs to be only so big I don't know at what point or what size motor makes the perfect motor strong enough to cut all thicknesses of human hair. But 100% this is a big improvement over there cheap models.** Updated info for all, The Wahl V9000 senior cutters are definitely the way to go over the other Wahl ones. We have a barber that use the clippers every day he says he buys the seniors and has had all the models (5000 and v9000) and they last 3 to 4 years and he uses them every day. Works really well comes with a lot of attachments and extras. Be careful the tips are sharp, you can easily poke the skin or scalp when giving a buzz cut
