Springfield Township, Delaware County (PA) (Images of America)

This book is about the town where I grew up. It was fun to see pictures and read descriptions of things I remember so well, things that are still there, although in some cases changed a bit, and things that were before my time -- like the busiest commercial street in town when it was a dirt road. I not only love my copy, but I have bought copies for my sisters and some special childhood friends. They have all love reading theirs as well. I've truly never seen a book like this on my town. Some of the pictures for the book were even submitted by one of my neighbor friends, which made it even more personal.

Grew up there; photos very nostalgic. Interesting stories about the founding of Springfield. If you loved your hometown, it's a must buy.

I lived in Springfield for 34 years and wanted to learn more about its early days. This book saved me a lot of research and was very interesting.

Pictured Springfield much as I can remember from mid 40 to early 60 . Great reading lots of great photos .
