my wife and i keep a couple of feeders and a birdbath in our small yard. we get the usual north-east backyard mix - sparrows, chickadees, nuthatches, cardinals, the occasional downie, and some juncos. and, more sparrows.in summer we put nesting boxes out, and were in the habit of bringing them in the winter. we bought the roost boxes to put out in the winter. we set the boxes up near one of the feeders, with a heated water dish nearby. the boxes are set up as directed, facing south, and set up in a relatively sheltered area.long story short the birds love them. our "regulars", especially the sparrows, use them regularly, and they help make our little yard a nice neighborhood haven in the winter.the boxes are well made, attractive, and give the birds a good place to roost up when the weather's cold.

Well-made, though birds need time to get acclimated to it before they'll use it. It is somewhat overpriced for what it is, but they all are. Supply and demand.

My old winter roosts needed to be replaced and I had already bought a Coveside horizontal roost. That one was such great quality, ordering another Coveside was an easy choice. The roost is really sturdy, well constructed, and will make a cozy retreat for birds in cold weather. I primed and painted both Coveside roosts just to protect them so they will last longer. The perches provide plenty of space for multiple birds. Love this winter roost and would also recommend the larger horizontal roost.

Solid. Tight. Heavy. Rough finish, but the birds won’t mind that. Just watch out for splinters. My only complaint is that the pre-drilled screw hole in the bottom back plate is too close to the bottom panel of the box so my screwdriver couldn’t work.

Excellent workmanship, so beautifully made. I love these boxes and now have two. I like knowing that the birds can take refuge from the cold, if needed. I highly recommend, well worth the price.

It looks natural, is well-made. The birds haven't discovered it yet but when they do, they'll have a good shelter. Easy opening for cleaning.

Well constructed. Hung it on a tree as shown in the picture. Not sure if the birds are using it. Have not seen any entering or exiting during the daytime.

Coveside does it right. Well made, attractive quality products. Nothing but the best for the birds.
