Wakeman Family-Tents Wakeman Outdoors 2 Person Camping Tent

This tent is worth what it costs (23$ or so) I am 5’4 and slept on a twin air mattress in it while camping and had room for my stuff. This is a 1 person tent for dry weather camping. It did not rain while we camped, but I would probably not buy this tent if you plan to use it in rainy weather. 2 of the nights we stayed there was a high wind warning, up to 45mph and it stood up to the gusts no problem. I normally don’t really write reviews, but was impressed by the damn thing and figured I’d share my thoughts with others. Set up and break down wasn’t even 5 minutes, AND it fit perfectly back in the bag, no problem. I was just fine with the small snug size.

I was blown away by the quality of this tent for the price and the ease of assembly. Everything comes in a compact bag with separate smaller bags for all the extra pieces. It is durable, waterproof, and has a vent at the top so it doesn’t get too hot. We fit a double sized mattress inside with no problem and still had extra room around the edges.

For the price, I did not expect a lot. My purpose for this tent is storing clothing, coolers etc. It is for supplies needed when I am backcountry camping so I don't have to fit everything into my real tent. It is useful for that purpose. I would never use this as a sleeping tent. I had to buy a $6 patch kit for one corner because where the top was being sewn to the bottom was improperly sewn and it's causing the tent fabric to rip. Patching it to shore it up before it's ever used to stop the top from ripping further. I decided it was better to fix one corner on this tent than to order another and it possibly have even more problems. These are cheaply made tents which is why they are so inexpensive. I gave it four stars, because I knew what I was getting as far as an inexpensive tent. I took off a star because of the improperly sewn corner. These tents are perfect if you want to store supplies or camp out in the backyard or as a play tent for children. Do not expect more out of it. If you want more out of it you need to go to a more expensive tent.

The tent is really great. Without experiencing the difference a tent makes, - it is possible to miss entirely their effect: it cuts down wind entirely, it is stable. It doesn't keep out cold but it keeps out the wind, and that makes a big difference. (on the other hand, it isn't right to categorize these as a 2 person camping tent, I mean, maybe as a maximum it is possible to squeeze in to sleeping bags, but in reality, it is never intended for other than single occupancy). I can provide a reference point for the effectiveness of the tent: I managed to sleep in 17 degree weather, in which there was a 3-5 mph wind. It isn't entirely water-proof but if you tie the top on properly it might be. It breathes okay, it doesn't get too stuffy.

I know the tent was “used” but wasn’t expecting to find a plastic fork inside of it. Also there was bird poop on the outside

This tent really only lived up to one of the qualities that were listed throughout the description; the low price of 16 bucks and some change. As for everything else, it failed miserably in quality and performance. Described as a two person tent, which may become true if the two people were very very small. I am 6' tall on the nose and my feet and head were pushing into the fabric with me laying diaganol, corner to corner. I would not have fit normally. The rain fly only covers the very peak of the tent which is not going to help against the rain, the zippers were poor quality and pulled off track and broke without any excessive force. The bottom corners for holding the ends of the poles and staking down tore free after a few days, the water resistance would better be described as highly absorbent, the poles string came off and the metal ends to allow them to fit together came off too. Saving a few bucks always seems like a good idea, especially since I was buying three tents but I wish I would have just spent 50 bucks a piece for usable products. These tents would probably only be practical if used for children to play in, indoors.

Works well for my dog and myself! Also some extra space for a small bag and a tote! Cool color! Good price! Only camped in it once, but I love it

The base can only prevent water for a little, then starts leaking to inside. Otherwise its good for the price

For this price you cannot go wrong!! Tent is very specious, I did setup and dissembled it at home in no time, less than 10min…

Tamaño normal, caben 2 sleeping bag; y queda espacio a los lados para las maletas; pusimos una sleeping pad y encima los sleeping bags, es posible pararme dentro, yo mido 1.64. Y la otra persona 1.70 y dormimos super a gusto; además es muy ligera para el peso. La recomiendo ampliamente

Simple casa de campaña a buen precio. Aunque dicen que caben 2, realmente si es para 2 y con equipo adentro para evitar que el dia siguiente amanezca mojado por el rocío de la madrugada. Si no hay equipo y si son niños y van a acampar en el patio, perfectamente caben 3. Simple de armar, un tanto pesada para cargarla en la mochila de la espalda.
