I struggled with the choice of buying the type that get screwed to the inside of the doors and frame or these that get surface mounted to the outside. I think parts of my OCD have been beaten down since having a baby...I don't like clutter and un-aesthetic things such as these, but it comes with the territory and I've learned to deal with them - until he's older... I went with these honestly only for the speed at which they can be installed. The inside-mounted ones require more time as you have to measure, mark, drill, etc. These work well but you have to dry fit them before actually adhering them so they are not too loose and not too tight. You'll get the hang after the first one. Relatively easy to open for an adult and so far they keep out my 1 year old son - who loves repeatedly opening then shutting everything with a door. My real concern is when I remove them in a few years from now will I be able to remove all of the adhesive residue? I assume (and hope) a goo-gone type product will work. Here's the kicker and why I gave 3 stars - they are not multi-functional - meaning I believe when he grows a bit more I will have to buy the inside-mounted type for the drawers - I can't see these working well on drawers (not an issue yet because he can't reach them now). These also posed a challenge on single-cabinet doors. On double doors you simply connect each of the doors together. What do you do with a single door that is not on the end? I had to adhere the single door to a non-mated door. It works but looks a bit awkward. Someone feel free to correct me if I am wrong.Update: Our child is older, so I finally was able to remove them! I carefully peeled them off and was able to completely remove any adhesive residue with goo-gone. NOTE: I purchased this item on Amazon for full price and have no affiliation to the seller. These were purchased for our 6-year old son that has autism, and gets into EVERYTHING. We have one on our standard household door that leads into our garage. I don't think these were designed for this purpose, so I cannot fault the product. But if you are thinking of purchasing these for a doorway, I do not recommend. When unlatched, the long end will get caught in the doorway, and when the door closes, will bend back. The strap is not made of a soft, flexible plastic, it is more of a hard type, and breaks off easily if bent the wrong way repeatedly. Again, I think the product for the purpose of safety latching cabinet or appliance doors, works well and it's a good price. These are just not designed to be bent back and forth repeatedly. If so, they will not last.

This is very easy to install and very durable. Before this I bought a different brand to child proof and it broke just a few days after using. There were also times where my mom forgot we had the proof on (the other brand) so she broke it. But with this product from Lil Raskalz, it is so strong and durable!! My mom forgot again it was there and she yanked the cabinet we had the proof installed open and it was fine. Thank goodness that we don't have to keep on replacing them. I also love how easy and quick for adults to unlatch. The color and design does not stand out or bulky so it looks very nice. I'm going to be ordering more to use all around the house. This product is awesome, a total life saver. My son is very curious and his grip is very strong. I'm very happy that this product works so well in child proof and so easy for us adults to use unlike other brands that I wasted money on. Im using this product for all safety issues at my place and love it. Great product!!

I really wanted these to work because we have a very active 18 month old. However, maybe they are for younger babies? When I installed them, in about 2 seconds flat our baby figured it out and opened the first latch I installed. Even to the point that he opens and makes sure to relatch them. Also, one of the adhesive strips unattached within a day. The clasps are more of a "deterrent" not a solid method to keep our baby out. I bought them because our baby was playing in the pot cabinet, and dropped one on his foot. I was determined to find a way to keep him out of the cabinets, this product does not do that for us. It seems the only foolproof way to prevent baby from accessing what he should not is to gate off the kitchen, which I was hoping to avoid.

I really like these! My toddler is into everything and these help keep him safe! Just be sure to attach one side, adjust the clasp before securing the other side. We have them in our kitchen and in our son's bedroom. Such a great buy... I may have to buy more!

These are perfect for lower cabinets that you want to keep your little ones out of. I have two toddlers and neither of them can get in. I had to take all of them off when we moved and very easy to get off. Just cut through the foam adhesive to get the clip off and removed the rest of the sticky stuff on the cabinet with just boiled water. No damage at all to the doors!

Work great, easy to install and use. Just make sure you read the instructions and not close the slider until you have it adjusted.Edit: 2 months later 2 have broken from my 2 year old trying to open a cabinet. Therefore a fail.

Just going to say my son can still get into the cabinets. He observed it enough and figured it out so it doesn't keep the kids out.
