Ethel Women's Zipper Back Floral Embroidery Long Sleeves Evening Dresses

This dress is what I expected from an embroidered amazon dress.CONS: It runs small, like many of the other reviews have said. I'm normally a US 10-12 and I ordered a size 14, which fits perfectly. The bra cups do fit kind of strange, and I will likely remove them. There is two layers of tulle where the cups are, so removal is not as easy as just snipping them out. I was disappointed with the hem line, as it's clearly just cut uneven. The sleeves are shorter on me than what is shown in the photo (comes about to my elbow) and the elastic is tight and poorly sewen in. I will also likely remove the sleeves if I keep it. The dress is also slightly different in its patterning and coloring than shown (less soft pink, more blue and reds). The embroidery also is off cut on the zipper.PROS: It's not as scratchy as most embroidered fabrics tend to be. The quality of the embroidery is good. The skirt falls nicely and the waist lays where it should. The underskirt is actually more of a metallic satin silver which reflects soft blue. It was unexpected but adds depth which I enjoy. I didn't think it was too long either (I'm 5'6") but it does have an extra inch or so thankfully so I can fix the uneven hem.I'm excited to wear this dress, especially after alterations. But overall, I wished it was better quality for the price!

This dress is completely sheer in the front except for two small pads meant to cover your chest. If you have more than an A cup your chest won't be covered.

I truly wanted to love and keep this dress. Hoping that those who complained about the see-through top were some kind of exception turned out to be my experience as well. So, so, sad! The embroidery is beautiful and overall construction sound with no signs of shortcutting. Why would someone *ever* sell a lovely and impressive FORMAL dress/gown that is to be classy and elegant dress, but thinks nipple covers enhance that look?? smh If you have time to remedy this problem, go for it! I just do have time, nor would want to spend the $ fixing that issue myself.Size Details: 5’6 / 155lbs / 37-30-42Ordered Size 12 (fit too loose in the waist by a fist full. It the bodice wasn’t an issue I’d likely just put a complimentary belt or sash with it.)Hope this helps someone...!

Ok, I really loved this dress but there were a few things that annoyed me about it. One, there's two large and oversized cups inside the dress as your bra. These came no where to fit my body at all. I ended up cutting them out of the dress and wearing a spaghetti strap tanktop underneath it in a soft color and no one knew it wasn't apart of the dress. Second thing, it is incredibly long. Seriously. This dress is for someone who's 6'5". I wore high heels and I was still having to pick the dress up so I did not fall.Overall though, the dress is gorgeous. I had so many compliments on it and it was wonderful on how it looked and felt on it.

Very beautiful. I did have to have the breast pads removed because they looked awkward since the top is see though. I also had to remove the elastic around the wrists because they were way too tight. After the alterations the dress fit beautifully.

This dress is stunning. I showed the picture to both my husband and best friend from this listing and both of them said they didn't like it. Fast forward to just a few days later, I try it on and they both LOVE IT! I ordered 3 other dresses that I'm sending back because THIS is the one. The embroidery is very nice for the price. I am 5'7" and normally a size 12, I ordered up as suggested and got a 14, it fits me so perfectly I don't even need get the bottom taken up! I did however, remove the funny looking blue/grey cups, I am wearing a nude colored strapless bodysuit/bra underneath. I am wearing this for a military ball in early November and I will post updated pictures then.

This is a beautiful dress, looks just like the picture ( I ordered the black one). The front bodice is fully lined, with boning; but you do need a bra unless you are quite small. The back bodice is not lined. The workmanship is very nice and the dress fits perfectly ( I used the measurements on the size chart to order). The lower sleeve hem is snug, but you can see that on the photo. There is extra length so you can hem it to your liking. It even arrived 10 days before the earliest estimated delivery date. I usually do my own sewing, but just to buy the fabric for this dress would cost as much as I paid for it. I am really pleased with it!

It has round bra cups instead of actual cloth underneath the VERY sheer material. How dare they? Such a beautiful dress and they ruin it by making the wearer look cheap with pasties on. The pictures do not show this, so BUYER BEWARE!It really is sad, as the dress is otherwise beautiful with nice materials. Why on earth would they do such thing?
