The movie becomes a video game
Summary: Players take on the heroic personas of the TV star dog, Bolt, and his owner, Penny, from the high-action television series featured within the Disney film. As Bolt, players can use his superpowers, including laser vision and his superbark, which sends out a sonic blast to devastate opponents, and as Penny, players utilize stealth, hacking skills and a wheelbar, inspired by her scooter seen in the movie, to outwit enemies. This title is perfect for gamers of the younger generation. With charm and nice features, the game is a good example for a film-adaption. For more experienced gamers, Bolt is not a must have, but is fun, too.Eventually, Bolt uses up its charm and can slip into repetition. there are a few attempts to mix things up at the climax which produce mixed results, but there's a fair chance that even young players will lose interest before the denouement. With that said, Bolt is a more than serviceable movie tie-in.I give it a 7 out of 10.

Wow what a pleasant surprise
I just recently saw the movie so I decided to purchase this game. I must say that I really enjoyed it a lot. The game is not a movie tie-in instead it's based off the Bolt TV show. You get to play as both Bolt and Penny in over 20 missions. The gameplay controls are easy to pick up and the voice acting is terrific. I really enjoyed the story and several of the missions. If you enjoyed the film I would highly recommend trying out the demo to see if this game is for you.

Bolt for Xbox 360
I bought this for my daughter's sixth birthday. It is way too difficult. My 15 year old son even had difficulty playing it. I would not reccommend wasting your money on this one.

Repetitive play and button mashing
With some strange camera angles where objects become translucent so you can see where you are going, or you can't see enough to the side, repetitive enemies who become predictable you maneuver either Bolt or Penny from level to level. This is a platformer type game. You are only allowed to move through areas pre-determined by the developers, sometimes making it difficult to figure out which way is next. The game is mildly amusing though, only slightly tied to the movie story. I found myself mashing the same buttons in order to take out enemies. The artwork was cartoonish but remained interesting. Im not trying to bash this title, but letting you know what my experience was. If you have played other Disney titles, such as G-Force, this can be compared as similar.I give Bolt a 6 out of 10 due to my lack of motivation to replay, button mashing, and occasional annoying camera angles. However, the game offered soft enjoyable fun at the same time.

Good fun over all!
The sound is not good! Music, voices, effects are great, but the sound is just off somehow. Hard to explain. It just sounds terrible! Other than that it's a great game! A bit repetitive, but imaginative and fun! Lots of melee and super powers, decent graphics, animations, etc! Also not very difficult, but there is some good challenge! No real complaints about this other than not being a very long game. It's just good fun for a little bit at a time.

Son love it
I bought this game for my kids because they love the movie. And now they love the game just as much if not a little more. They have so much fun with this game. I am glad that I bought it for them.

A Fun Substitute to the Movie
Being a fan of 'Bolt' the movie, picking this game up was a double experience. First I knew of its relatively easy 1000 gamerscore and in my efforts to raise my gamerscore I purchased this game. It definitely was one of the easier games I've had the opportunity to raise to 1000G and was a fun little experience. I also picked it up because I like the movie so much, but I feel as though the game does it no justice. More or less this is one of those games that I just wish was never made into a video game for the sole reason of making a quick buck off of it. Nonetheless you will enjoy it for a small period of time, be frustrated by the terribly strong AI and hopefully get a quick 1000G.3 Super Dog Stars out of 5.
