The best antenna ever . . .
I tried several antennas, and for me at least, this turned out to be the best one by far. I had the earlier version of this ANTAN antenna, which did not have the "Long Range, Full HD, High Gain, Broadcast, Signal Booster," and it worked very well. For some reason, however, we started getting some pixilization, so I went looking and found this "ANTAN Indoor Amplified HD TV Antenna." I was pleased to see that this new model may be mounted on a wall rather than a window, which I did, and it works great. It came with a couple of regular little push pins, which I inserted in the two tiny holes in the antenna to mount the antenna on a wall, and this was a distinct improvement over the two-sided sticky pads one must use if the antenna is mounted in a window. I'm sure that much depends on the particular setting and situation, but for me and my setting and situation this ANTAN antenna is the best ever, definitely worth trying.

FINALLY GOT ONE THAT WORKS FOR ME AFTER 6 INDOOR OTA ANTENNAS
6th OTA antenna I tried to use as indoor whole house antenna uising old cable TV lines already installed. It's flimsy looking, but packs a punch in reception. Unfortunately the AC to DC USB Adaptor (very cheap quality) came broken (wall plug prongs came out of adaptor case and circuit board). Fortunatelty I'm a retired electronics tech so remedied quickly with solder iron and super glue. Wherever placed picked up over 75 channels & most local channels except PBS and NBC. This is a problem with all antennas here in southeast greater Phoenix suburbs 29 miles from broadcast tower. FInal destination was in the garage on top of a tall cabinet "leaning" on wall generally facing tower since multi-directional with coax cable stapled to walls. Remove anything metal from within a few feet of antenna. It makes a huge difference. I ran supplied short coax and amplifier through hollow 6 inch wall into house tech panel. Only needed to drill an inch hole through sheetrock wall in gargae to enter tech panel. I picked up about 95 signals, some from 60 - 90 miles as crow flies. If I taped to wall it quit receiving a lot of channels so I leaned it on wall. (signals funny that way) Anyway, my whole house (5 bedrooms, living room and family room now have OTA FREE TV! No amplifiers except one provided, and no noise filters required. I pick up all channels in Phoenix, as well as some Prescott and Tucson channels. After I go through and remove channels that are: duplicates, pixalated, shopping networks or not worth watching I'll have all major networks, PBS, several local independent stations and over a dozen fun channels that I didn't get on my $165/mo COX HDTV subscription with no premium channels. You must be patient and willing to experiment with placement for whole house installation.

Works great
I was concerned that I wouldn't have any reception where my house is, since I have zero cell reception anywhere near where the TV is and assumed it was because of something to do with the walls in that room. But once I set this up and scanned for stations, I was pleasantly surprised to see that I've got full reception on all the major networks (ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox) available in Sacramento. Mounted without issue, and came with all the necessary parts. I'm happy with my purchase.

A Few Days On, and a Different Opinion
This antenna was easy to set up and attach to my wall. However I found its claims of many channels from far away to be considerably exaggerated. It does a better job than my old rabbit-ears of pulling in the local stations without digital dropouts (blocking), but does not pull in any additional stations. It also does not see the local NBC affiliate at all, whose transmitting tower is a few miles further down the road from the other local stations. So, all in all, the ANTAN antenna does a good job with local stations in an urban/suburban market, but it's nothing special. After a few days, my opinion has changed. The ANTAN is no better than my rabbit-ears were. All local stations now suffer from blocking, pixillation, and complete loss of signal intermittently. It's crap. Don't buy it!

Super thin,HDTV quality
From box to working receipt of HD channels took me 5 minutes. The antenna panel is super thin, and the length of cable provided allows for proper placement out from the TV high up on a wall or window. The signal booster I'm sure improves reception if you are greater than 80 miles from the signal provider. I'm only about 10 miles away, for even though it is not needed, I added it anyhow. I did choose to place it high in a window to maximize the signal receipt. The channel scan process was simply the push of a button, one you choose antenna as your source on the HDTV. I did not hook this up through a cable box, so those instructions may be different. I was able to then select the HD channels I wanted to keep and voila, I had high definition TV from my local stations without paying cable prices for that option. Good function at a great price.

Don't buy it, piece of plastic with a plug
It is a piece of plastic without a stand and has to be stuck to a wall. Did not work after I was on TV mode. Moved it in every direction by propping it up (good thing I did not stick it to the wall). Instructions are keep changing directions or move to a different room. The TV is in one room and direction of walls are fixed. How can I change it? It did not pick up one local station and I am in a metro with several broadcast stations

Totally Worth It!!!
I wasn't sure at first and was actually going to return it because the antenna part is a paper thin rectangle vs what I am used to. Though, since my traditional rabbit ears were failing once again I figured I would give the new antenna a try since I knew it could be returned. Took a couple of minutes to get up and going and it IS AWESOME!!! I am 90 miles from Chicago and now get METV + (which is only available in Chicago and has 1 show I LOVE as part of the daily schedule - Family from 1970's w/ Kristy McNichol, Sada Thompson, James Broderick, Meredith Baxter) Regular METV doesn't have it. It works great so far....lots of channels and the channels that were previously and continuously interrupted/unwatchable due to no/low signal with my rabbit ears are now crystal clear. Stuck it above my door with the stick on tab. Totally worth the price paid.
