Just what i needed although i have no idea on taste as use this to grow cultures in Petri dishes

It is no wonder that it smells and tastes like seaweeds as agar agar is made from red algea (seaweed). It is not tastless nor odorless, but if you like seaweed then it's ok. When I smell it I feel like on the beach. The liquid or food you use with this agar agar must be very aromatic to overpower the taste of seaweed.
