Hot Wheels! 300 miles in... Buy them!
I read every review, took heed to a few suggestions found in this thread, and I love my new wheel set. I run these on the continental grand prix 4000. I have had them for about three weeks and I love them! I always get compliments while on rides with my bicycle club. 61 reviews 4.8/5 stars was worth the plunge. In what follows is my experience.1. THE INSTALLATION: Take them to the Local Bike Shop to install. Some of you can do this yourself. I wanted their opinion of the set so I took mine in. They installed them and the wheels were "TRUE" out if the box as they should be. 2. THE TUBES: Ditch the extenders and buy new tubes with the extended valve. This LBC suggestion didn't feel like an up sale to me. They are more reliable than the extenders. I like reliable. You may need to use electrical tape on the valve to keep it from rattling, but use that little nut that holds the valve in place from your new tube and you are golden. See photo.3. THE BREAKS: Ditch the stock pads and get new ones. Expensive isn't always better bit I trust Swiss stop carbon breaks4. THE WEIGHT: They are super light! My bike weighs with saddle bag, lights, pump and cell mount and aero bars a whopping 22lbs ... I bought it at 21lbs without anything on it with these things it was for sure 22lbs or 23lbs. I think my (aluminum) bike lost a pound.5. THE SOUND: Most, if not all, carbon wheels seem to make the "cicada" sound. I think it's cool, but YOUR GROUP WILL KNOW WHEN YOU COAST. Lol I heard you can reduce it with oil but I'm not interested4. THE COMPLIMENTS.. You will get "nice bike/wheels at least once a week. The guys at the bike shop want you to get those revolv's or zipps but I'm telling you they were impressed with these and didn't want to show it. The young Mechanic slipped me the thumbs up though.5. THE FEEL: It's a more comfortable, smoother ride and faster at or above 17 mph. It's like when you get four new tires on your car and you feel more connected to the road after an alignment. That is if you know how to balance your weight and tyre pressure.6. LEARNING CURVE: the crosswind takes getting used to and you have to brake further in advance especially in the rain. Pads need checking more often and resurfacing if they squeel. This part is easy even for a novice. YouTube will rescue you. That's all folks hopes this helped! Enjoy those wheels!

GREAT WHEELS
Awesome carbon wheels for the price, I have to admit I was a bit apprehensive at first, but after reading review after review of how good this wheels are, I took the plunge and glad I did, saved me lots of $$$ on super high end wheels, ok, to the wheels, I've only had them for a brief time and noticed the difference on the first day, the bike is lighter of course but the wheels really begin to work for you when you're around the 20mph 32kph if you like using the metric system, you get the feel of the wheels pulling you along and can sustain the 20plus mph effortlessly, I wasn't able to that as easily with my stock wheel, i have the wheels mounted on my matt black trek emonda SL6, the bike looks femomenal as you would expect, ridden only 600+ miles and are performing very well, they are as true as you can get them, they come packaged fairly well considering the thickness of the box they come in, on about 7inches in width but placed in a manner that they are protected pretty good, sadly my wheel got lost on transit and had already cancelled the order, Amazon as usual, very promptly reimbursed me but like a month later they reappeared I had to drive to get them to a different usps location but after all was said and done I'm very happy with the wheels and highly recommend to anyone looking to upgrade, I did re-payed for them again, the wheel come with everything you'll need, skewers for both font and back, the carbon pads and the valve extenders, let me address this extenders for those like me who didn't know, the wheels are too wide for a normal tube valve, I currently have 60mm valves and even those were too small for my pump to secure a tight seal, in come the valve extenders, you basically screw them in on top of your valve, now the valve has to be open and ready for air befor you screw the extender, when I tried this, disaster, I could not get a tight seal and was having trouble pumping air, the quick fix for this and only fix in my book is relatively simply, just wrap teflon/plumbers tape, about 5inches does the job, you do wrap only the top part that the extender is gonna screw to, be careful not to wrap the valve head, you're gonna need to screw that back in, I know some riders like to keep the extenders in all the time, I removed mine and keep them with you when you ride, only need one extender really, once you do this, no problems, one more thing, when pumping air you're gonna feel it very hard to pump, this is only temporary, what's happening is that the valve extender doesn't have the small pin that you see in all the pumps, the pin is for pressing the air valve down, you're also gonna briefly see higher psi on your pump but that's only when the air is pressing the valve down, it regulates almost right away and you immediately get the correct tire pressure, I hope this information helps someone, purchase the wheels, you won't be disappointed...one more tip, wrap the teflon tape to your spare tube, you're gonna need it if you get a flat...if don't want to deal with the tape and the extenders then just purchase the 80mm tubes and problem solved, the valve is now long enough to use a regular pump
