Impressive! Dust be gone!
I've had many different brands of air purifiers over 20yrs blueair, winix etc and not many have wowed me but this one has.Within five minutes of turning on I noticed a difference in the room. The air was already beginning to freshen up. An hour later I felt as if I was breathing fresh mountain air, it's that good.A week on I noticed another big improvement. Where did the dust go? I normally have a fairly thick layer of dust 4 days after dusting but a week on there's barely any!Very happy so far with my choice. The only niggle I can see is the filter will only last around 9 mths. I have it on speed 1 in the day with occasional bursts of speed 2. Overnight it's on night mode. After 3 weeks of use it's already showing 92% on the filter left. The 3yr claim is a massive stretch!Edit: 6 months on and the filter is telling me I need to replace it! It's only on fan 1 most of the time and night mode at night. Their claims of 3yrs would only be correct if you turned it on for 1 hr a week!

Recommended air purifier
This is a current Which ‘Best Buy’ having done very well in their comprehensive tests.I bought whilst on offer and the purifier is currently cleaning the air of my abode! The purifier is quite large and so some thought will be needed regarding placement. It’s relatively easy to set up but if you have a VPN you’ll need to temporarily disable this to connect the purifier Uk the Phillips Air+ app. The app itself is good and you are provided with graphics to map air quality in the house and you can control the purifier remotely using the WiFi connection. You can also set schedules for the purifier to operate or simply set it to automatic where it responds to the current air quality. There are night time settings where the display dims and the machine goes almost silent which is useful for light sleepers. The filters lasts around 3 years and the app will tell you when to change it. The app will also tell you when you need to clean the filter with a hoover to maintain performance.Overall a good machine and I am happy with my purchase.

Great investment for £250
I think it’s better than the rest of their models, it quiet big however but the filter last for a long time and it’s a good looking unit, not sure how accurate it is but my room smell quiet light and fresh now

Suitable for bedroom/next to bed
Was looking for a quiet yet powerful air purifier. I usually leave it on setting 1 while sleeping and I'm not disturbed by it although some who are sensitive to sound may want to use the sleep setting which is nearly inaudible. My only complaint would be that the app could be improved although it does the basics hence the 4 stars instead of 5.

This is a Which? Best buy
Fantastic bit of kit! I have interstitial lung disease. and bought this to help. It has made a HUGE difference! Easy to set up although I found the filter difficult to ft as I have athritic hands but my daughter did it in a second. I am using it without the WiFi and it works perfectly. When we switched it on I was amazed to see my air quality showed as " bad" , but the machine cleared the air in minutes to air quality "good!"Good points -1.made by Philips - a well established company in the Netherlands2. Extremely quiet in operation3."thinks for itself "and adjusts fan speed etc as required4 Cheap to run5. This is a Which? Best Buy - they test very thoroughly and it has a 2 year guarantee. Which? describes it as a "Brilliant buy" giving it a score of 88%Bad Points-1,Expensive outlay , at £400+ but I got it through Amazon for £299 so there are deals available. In this case you get what you pay for - and it was worth every penny.2 It is large and relacement filters are £85 but they last for 3 years. Conclusion -BUY IT! Excellent product, greay buy ,works well and has helped my breathing a great deal

Brilliant investment works like a dream
Yes it's big but it's for a big room and size is clearly stated if you read the advert properly. Clears the air brilliantly, have noticed there is far less dust about and no 'fusty' smell if windows haven't been opened for a few days. Love the indicator which tells you when to clean the filter - quick hoover and job done. My difficult to manage asthma has improved so much I bought a smaller version for bedroom - result!!Yes, it was expensive but you get what you pay for. My husband loves playing with the app (sigh). I find it easier to just use the touch pad on the top. Neither light nor noise level are intrusive unless it goes into the red and even then we just switch the tv up by 1 or 2 levels until the air has cleared and it goes virtually silent again.I've seen complaints about the cost of the replacement filters - they are expensive but divide the cost over the 3 years each lasts and they're cheaper than purifiers whose filters need replacing every 3 months. Costs next to nothing to run - very important in the current economic climate: we keep it on auto and it just boosts itself if anything in the environment changes.Con: the grey fabric at the top just doesn't go with my decor :-( Would be perfect if it was in different colours or even an all white version but not enough of a problem to take away a star.Definitely recommend.
