The AK-47 and AK74 Kalashnikov Rifles and Their Variations

My husband got me a WASR-10 for Christmas- and this was my first rifle. I also am very new to the whole gun hobby as well. I bought this book to help me understand all of the parts and history involved with this gun, and I was extreemly pleased with this book. It went into great detail the history of the Ak-47, and all of it variants, including my WASR-10. If you need a book that tells you all about the AK-47, this one is for you! and for those of us that don't like to read, there are plenty of pictures!!! I highly recommend this book to anyone who wishes to read up about the AK.

The authors of this book did an excellent job. The illustrations are clear and sharp, not scribbled out on a napkin-looking. I think this book covers every single AK47 and variant that I know of. It is an excellent resource for my military firearms collection. Well worth the purchase price.

There are quite good details in the book, however the book lacks good photos and only one page is printed in colours which makes it hard to look into the details of the book. But over all a recommended book

This is definitely worth the money spent. Drawings are detailed and sharp definition if this is what you need. Enjoyed reading about the many different countries that have produced the AK47 and the AK74. I appreciate the publisher adding some color photo's and would like more. Good print quality and paper quality as well.

I was looking to do some research on the AK. this book is a great first step for someone who is a novice.easy to read and a wealth of knowledge

Essential reading for gun collectors and fans of the AK. Kalashnikovs genius is legendary because he made the most well respected rifles in history out of a need and a desire to provide his country with a weapon that would protect them from the repeated assaults from Germany, and other enemies.

I love this book. I will probably read it till the cover falls off. I am probably going to have to copy it to PDF so I can put it on my Kindle to read at time I do not have the book with me but need it to do so. I really do hope they do a second one on some other books cause if they do I will be the first in line to buy a copy.dray
