Value for money
Good value for money. Not sure how well it would stop a thief but it's definitely a good visual deterant.Easy to use, key and lock very smooth so no faffing about. Small enough to keep in passenger footwell when not in use. Gives a little peace of mind.

Going back to the 80’s with one of these
It feels like I’m going back to the 80’s with one of these, but according to Rav Wilding on one of his programmes, these are best deterrent, especially for keyless cars. He was saying if car manufactures went back to doing keys that need to go in ignitions to turn cars on, there would be far less car thefts. He advised these as a deterrent. He was with an ex car thief talking to him about their tactics, and he said he could trick a keyless car into recognising a piece of kit, that would start a keyless car and could drive away in about 12-15 seconds. The thief said they tend to walk away from vehicles with steering wheel locks as they’re extra hassle and more time consuming. I googled “Top 10 steering locks” and this one came up at number 6 and was the cheapest at £15. Bargain and a good deterrent so why wouldn’t I. Its very easy to fit to a Nissan Micra Bose. 4 seconds in fact. Comes with 2 keys too. I bought one to protect my car, in hope thieves move on to an easier target. Awful I know….but that’s how it works sadly 🤷♀️.

Unlockable after a short time
As others have pointed out, this product is really unreliable after a short time. Sure, it's cheap, and I didn't expect it to be top of the line, but I bought this about a month ago and now it's useless. The lock or the key have deteriorated rapidly, and every time I lock the immobiliser I risk not being able to use the car myself. I experienced this for the first time last week, but after a few attempts, the lock worked and I could open it. I was wary, and I wasn't sure if I should use it again, but thinking it may have been a one time thing, I used the immobiliser again for the next day. I had to spend 5 minutes trying to remove it the next morning, constantly turning the key to see if it would unlock, pulling with all my strength until it finally opened. I was on my way to work and I worried I might be locked away from my own car. Very frustrating.Lesson learned. I will buy a more expensive and reliable one next time. Chances are, if you buy this, you'll find yourself with the same problem if you're unlucky. Quality assurance for something as critical as a wheel immobiliser should be a priority, but it's clearly not in this case. Total waste of money.

A good visual deterrent
Seems relatively robust but I’m not convinced the committed thief would have too much trouble on compromising the plastic mouldings that surround the lock, which is the Achilles heel of this product.Visually it is a deterrent though which is often half the battle if it discourages the opportunist.Overall this is a reasonably good safety precaution - but at the approx price of around £12; don’t pay more.
