The upside of living in California is if you buy biodegradable trash bags you know they actually biodegrade. The downside is that most of the ones you buy are terrible and start breaking down if you look at them sideways.These last happily a week in my compost bin in my kitchen without falling apart. And they don't shred if you so much as mention a shape that isn't perfectly round.I wish they were a bit deeper so they fit better in my trash cans but... Eh? I'll take it.

I got these bags and put them to immediate use. They are perfect for the cans in my bathroom and sewing room. I put a roll in the bottom of each can so I don’t have to go hunting. They are sturdy, easy to put a knot in the top and toss. I’m happy!

I like that by using these bags, I'm helping a little. Unlike plastic, these will biodegrade over time, allowing the tradh to biodegrade also.

These are sturdy enough for my food scraps and I haven't noticed an odor. I keep my small compost container on the counter. These are a little big for the re-used Country Crock tub I put scraps into, but too small for the county provided counter top compost bin. We don't fill it more than 4 times a week so it sits on my counter for about 2 days before emptying and no odor has been noticed. The hardest part is pulling the bags apart. It takes 2 hands for me to pull apart the perforated connection. Deducted a star for that.

Fits our 4qt Cambro perfectly and leaves enough overhang to tie it off when removing the filled bag. Previously we were just filling the Cambro and dumping it directly into the appropriate city trash can. That became unpleasant over time. These bags work great. Neat, clean, and ended the groaning about dumping the contents. Tips: fingernails will puncture the bag pretty easily, so when its full we just tie it off while it's still in the cambro and carry it all out to the can to just flip the cambro over to dump the tied bag.

The bags are reasonably priced. Come in a convenient container that holds them for you. They do not disintegrate and leave juices in the bottom of your container. They work very and I will definitely be buying these again

Keep this on my counter when I'm cooking to collect all the garbage instead of walking over to trash bin and drip on the floor. Just neat and quick. I use them to line an old plastic square container I had and it works perfect.

So I decided to empty and use my compost after more than a year. I have a black rotary composter that is in the sun several hours a day, and I am in zone 8a- so the composter gets heated up pretty well (and again has gone through a full hot summer and then some). Upon emptying it I noticed the compost bags were largely intact and seemed sturdy. I then proceeded to manually sift and empty any bags I found... There were a lot. See the pictures showing some of the bags in the compost bags in the compost, and the pile of emptied compost bags. Maybe these break down in an industrial compost environment, but it seemed none of them decomposed in a home composter. On the plus side, since they don't break down, these bags do not get weepy when collecting compost over a few days in the house...*Edit* - the description for this does say these bags are designed to be compostable in a municipal industrial composter with controlled conditions. So maybe my disappointment is my own fault for not reading (assuming the description was the same back when I initially purchased a year ago).
