prince has problems
The doll isn't too bad, just has some problems that could've been avoided without adding the the cost of the doll. Starting on a good note, I was surprised that the elbows are articulated. The knees don't have joints like the elbows but bend the way '80s Barbie knees bent. The clothes are nice on the front, but the back doesn't look good. The cummerbund is sewn onto the pants with red thread, and then the red thread continues down the center of the back of the pants, and not only that but it's sewn inside-out, with the neat rows of thread on the inside and the messy part of the thread on the outside, going all the way down his bottom, making it look like Prince Eric has had an unfortunate incident due to a rather unpleasant illness. The shirt sleeves are made to look like they're rolled up, but they're not unrollable; even if you were to cut the thread that's holding them up, there isn't enough fabric there to reach his wrists. The shirt and cummerbund are made of somewhat satiny fabric, which is nice, like you might expect a doll of a royal character to wear. The boots are, as is common now, slit down the back. That's great for making boots easier to remove and put back on, but they should've made the boots a bit larger before slitting them so there wouldn't be such a huge gap in the back. His bare ankles and heels can't be covered -- not a princely look -- and the tops of the boots are too small to close around his legs even if you press the two sides together with your fingers. His hands are molded in an awkward position; he looks like he's about to slap someone with both hands. While checking out the thread on the pants I noticed that he has painted-on navy blue undies. I haven't undressed him and have no desire to see a nakie plastic man, so that's as far as I'm going with his body description, at least until some different outfits come out to fit him and he needs his clothes changed.

Decent enough
The doll is hinged on all his joints (wrists, knees, etc) so it is harder to play with for young kids who while having him stand might press to hard and his joints will bend. But it's a good replica of the Prince Eric from Little Mermaid other than everyone who's seen him thinks his face a tad to narrow----if it weren't for that he's a great match! His clothing is nicely done with shiney gold "buttons" on his coat and his boots have an open seam all along the back of the leg to help children get them on and off. But if you change out his clothing his pants are difficult to get off at his ankles because of the hinge feature there so we've just told DD his clothes don't come off lol.

Great!
I got it for my daughter she asked for a boy doll and the newer barbies were all odd looking. It's a really nice doll.

Legs are not articulated
He is a wonderful doll except for the fact that it says right in the description that he has fully posable arms and legs when only his arms are actually articulated in the elbow and his legs are just rubber with a slight bend and snap knee. If I had known that I would not have purchased him but I do like his clothing and other than the legs not being fully bendable he has been a great addition to my collection and now we have someone for Princess Ariel.
