This should be bought for a puppy and you can move it up as they grow. My dog doesn't burp or gag after eating or drinking. She is a Boston Terrier and that brachycephalic nose and short snout really needs to be monitored because of food or water making them choke. She is on the second level and is 9 months old. I put it together alone and only took 10 minutes. The tool that they give you is easy to use, but awkward. Once you get the hang of how to hold the tool and hold the pieces, it's really easy to put together. It doesn't move while she is eating and I put it on a place mat so that if she does slurp water it goes on the mat. She went to it right away and wasn't afraid of it. I'm very happy with the quality and easy to set up and that it doesn't move while she is eating or drinking. It comes with 4 bowls and I do put them in this dish washer, but it says that it is microwave safe but they are made of some kind of tin. I wouldn't do that, b/c it might cause sparks.Over all I LOVE IT. It's not too big or too small and the quality is nice. I highly recommend this product. Never mind that the shipping was supper quick.

I got it because my dog would burp a lot after eating so we ordered this which did end up helping as he doesn’t have to crane to eat now. It is pretty light but I feel if I dropped it it could break, the first one I received was broken but the box had many dents so I assume it was the people delivering not their fault, they sent me a new one after returning the first one. However there are light black marks on the sides that look like circles and some of the bottoms of the boards have seams or holes in them which add to the “may not be the highest quality” feel. If I do bump it occasionally the tray will fall but it hasn’t broken and it’s a lot cheaper than most so overall I’m happy with it.

We just received the feeder and put it together. Overall, it looks nice and was easy to assemble, but there were some flaws/issues. A minor flaw were some rough spots and one section that was splintering on the edge of one side panel so we had to sand and re-stain that portion. The more major design flaw was the fit of the wood panel that holds the bowls. The panel slides in and fits properly on the lowest level for small dogs. However, as you moved the panel up to the middle slots, it was not a good fit and would move around a bit. At the highest slots, the panel would completely fall out since the side pieces were further apart at the top/not pulled together/stabilized by a crossbar at the middle or top sections. Because we needed the feeder soon (our new pup is arriving this weekend), we don't have time to return, reorder, and chance the same issues again so my husband is cutting down, staining, and attaching a third crossbar closer to the top so that it pulls the side panels together. Hopefully, this will fix the issue, but it's just disappointing that we have to go through all this to fix a feeder that is already expensive at $38.Oh, and lastly, each bowl can only hold 3 to 4 cups (because of slant). The description/images provided are deceptive in that it says the capacity of the bowls is 6 cups, but that appears to be the capacity for both bowls together, not one bowl as most people would assume.

This is a very nice dog feeder. Our boston terrier is slowly getting used to it. She's a rescue and scared of new things. I haven't seen a feeder that adjusts like this one and has slanted holes for the bowls, which is a good feature; helps with digestion of food. The bowls are substantial, but not too big. Good quality too, not flimsy. I would suggest using a power screwdriver, but a regular one will do. The tool that is supplied is not easy to use while trying to hold the wood pieces. The first feeder we received had side panels that had grooves going the same way, so they didn't work for assembly. The instruction sheet shows the grooves going the opposite way on the panels. It was an easy return and good experience working with the seller to get a replacement, which was sent promptly.

For the most part the stand stays in place and so do the bowls, however, would probably help if the bowls had a rubber gasket under the lip as they do move around a little bit.

Only had this for 2 months. Love the slant but there is no way to lock the top shelf in place and has fallen once.

Got in the mail... thought everything was great until I started to put it together. Once I opened my package to put it together with the instructions. I learned that the screwdriver that was supposed to be included with the nails was nowhere to be found. The nails didn’t go in the right way. And an install time that should’ve taken 5 mins took about 30. After forcefully putting screws in. Ended up throwing it out due to the fact that the trays kept falling when my dog would eat out of it. Could’ve just been the shipment idk. Buy at you own risk I guess. Lol 🤷🏽‍♀️

I got this food bowl for my girlfriends dog and it works perfectly! He’s a medium sized dog in the picture posted. He doesn’t have to slump all the way down with this elevated food bowl. Also the hardwood look definitely stands out and the two food bowls side by side is perfect since she put water in one and food in the other.

The construction quality is good. Is smaller than what is depicted in pics. Assembly wasn’t a hassle.
