Goof proof is a good name. I have never tried to make my own shower pan before. We are building a new house and our shower is HUGE (5 ft by 7 ft). People were quoting $2,000 to build one for us. My dad has made smaller ones so, once I found this system we decided to try it. I measured, cut, and installed the pre pitch system myself. The husband just supervised. My dad showed me how to put in the sand mixer and it went smoothly. Put in the liner and filled it full of water. It drains amazingly with very little effort or knowledge.

It did what it states it will do. I would not use it again. With the pre pitch and the quick pitch My screw in drain is to short to screw into the drain. Using the two together makes the mud base to thick. All plastic strips are exposed so I sure my mud base is the correct thickness. The Quick pitch would be enough.

This definitely did the trick! I used it for a linear shower drain! Had to ad lib to make it work! I thought it was too expensive for what you get, but alas it did make the job lot easier!

As expected but a bit pricey for a few bits of molded plastic.

Works exactly as indicated. For Do-It-Yourselfers this product, along with the Red Gard method of building a shower base instead of a rubber mat liner, makes the job very accurate.
