Well, this little pill stinks horribly but if you know about Valerian root then you know it has a horrible smell. But it works like magic. I’m a flight attendant and fly to different countries and going through different time zones constantly. Because of my job I have a horrible internal clock thus trouble sleeping. I haven’t had a good nights sleep in years. I don’t like taking medicines so I have tried everything natural there is to take and nothing has worked. My daughter suggested I gave Valerian root a chance so I did. And let me tell you what..... if you can get past the smell your body will thank you. I finally fall asleep within minutes. I take it an hour before going to bed and before I know it I’m asleep. I wish I would’ve taken it years ago but I guess better late than never!!! I bought this brand because I bought their garlic pills and they are the best, the product is fresh and organic, great quality, great product all together, so it was a no brainer for me to support a small family owned business!!!

This is a great product! helped me to have deeper sleep and reduce anxiety caused by too much work. Sleep got deeper when I really needed it, also in 2020 due an incredible amount of work and stress (between 14-18 hrs or work on a daily basis for most of the year), having to work during nights, early mornings, weekends, phone always ringing, too much pressure etc. and it caused an eye lid to tremble, for a a few months and in December the lower lip started to tremble , both times I took this supplement, plus forcing myself to have the correct amount of sleep and this is where this helped me out because I did noticed deeper sleep and being more difficult to get out of bed because I was really resting. I combined with not missing my daily meditations, mild exercise and even some laughter yoga, and my anxiety and trembles disappeared so I do recommend it, just don't expect that the pill will solve all sleep and anxiety disorder in just one sleep, specially if you have been taking artificial ones, but is a great complement for healthier habits. As a side note: My homeopath recommend long time ago to not take Valerian root for periods longer than 3 months, but with this product I never had to take it over 3 weeks.

I’ve been using the Herbal Roots Pure Organic Valerian Root Capsules for a while now and they’ve become a staple in my supplement routine. I even subscribe and save so I never run out. What I really like about these is that they’re effective without leaving me feeling groggy the next morning. They help me relax and get restful sleep, but I still wake up clear-headed and refreshed. I also appreciate that they don’t contain melatonin — I prefer a non-habit-forming option like this for better sleep support. They’re in little capsules and they’re small & easy to swallow. They do smell a bit, but so does valerian in plant form. I have some growing, and they smell just like the plant. The pills don’t taste bad though. The packaging is another plus. The glass bottle feels higher quality and more sustainable compared to plastic. The only downside is that one shipment arrived in an envelope instead of a box, and the bottle broke. Thankfully, that was a one-time issue, and replacements since then have been packed properly. I try not to use them every single day, but they’re incredibly helpful on the nights I need extra support winding down. Overall, I highly recommend these if you’re looking for a clean, effective, and vegan valerian root supplement. I don’t mind paying a little more for higher quality. I’m putting these in my body & health is wealth so I’m good to spring for the slightly higher cost.

I have been using this brand Valerian root for a few months now. It definitely makes you ready for bed. Nice and relaxed. I still wake up in the night due to menopause but not nearly as much. I do use this with an allergy med and it’s almost a sure thing to sleep all night but not 100%. But I can get back to sleep, where before I was taking valerian root I couldn’t get back to sleep at all. But now I can. So kudos to this brand of valerian root. I bought another kind called “ restful sleep” and that did not work at all with my body. So this brand is the kind to try.

I find the smell of this supplement not at all offensive; it smells like a root coming from the soil would. It is effective for me. One capsule one hour before sleep, as its instructions suggest, and I am sleeping soundly, so that my muscles do not feel stiff upon awakening in the morning.
