Hard for toddlers to open and close
This water bottle is cute and strong. I bought it for my 22 month old to bring on road trips and hiking trips. I thought he would like graduating from a sippy cup and trying something different. But the top is impossible for little hands to open and close. It's almost too hard for me to open. Seriously, I struggle to pull the top up to the open position. My son does like it, when it's open. But mostly because he can make a huge mess with it. I also find that because it's so hard to open, we tend to leave it open and then I'll discover that it completely emptied itself out on the living room floor or in his backpack or something. Annoying! I like the idea of this water bottle. I like that it's metal as we try to avoid plastic containers for the baby but I dislike that you're not supposed to put the bottom in the dishwasher. I wish they make a sippy cup lid for this bottle that didn't cost $16! For a lid? That's crazy.

Solid product
My 14 month old daughter seems to like this bottle, the neck of this bottle is large enough to put ice into it, seems sturdy and well made. This is our 2nd Kleen Canteen product and, while they are a little bit more expensive than some other brands, it's well worth the extra couple of bucks.
