Was going to paint with a color, but gentleman at paint store recommended this stain for teak pool furniture. Glad he did. Nice finish.

My deck looks so nice with this stuff shame you can't buy it in the stores any more due to restrictions.

Best stain ever just a little expensive

Ordered this one as the original has a very orange finish which I didn’t like. This one has lower viscosity and a brown color that looks more natural.Yet, I don’t know how it compares to the original Sikkens Marine in durability over time in an exterior application, UV protection etc. There is very little information about that.Guess time will tell. I also need to see how the finish look like in color and showing/enhancing the teak original beauty and will post an update - for the marine community.

This is the best product on the market for staining and water-sealing a deck. I have used the product for years with great success. It usually takes two coats to fully protect dried wood (cedar, redwood) or one coat with pressure-treated pine that has fully aged six months to a year after construction. The product has to be reapplied every two years and requires a light sanding beforehand to ensure penetration into the wood, otherwise new coat will sit on top and peel off after a couple of seasons like we get in Kansas City where temperatures go from zero degrees F in the winter to 100 degrees F in the summer. If the proper prep is completed, it works great!If the shipping was better, this would be a five-star review.Because PPG Paint Flagship Stores have decided to raise their prices, this product is now $97.50/gallon for me to purchase locally through retail. This is why I decided to purchase it from Strand's Flooring & Paint through Amazon.com for $70.27/gallon. A great savings!However, as you can see from the pictures I provided, the packaging of the product for shipping and handling through Amazon was inadequate. Amazon did a poor job of handling it during the shipping process. As you can see, it looked like it had been kicked down the street like the 1994 film "Ace Ventura: Pet Detective" opening scene. The thin cardboard box surrounding the product had no padding in place and was exactly the size of the can. I'm not sure if Strand's Flooring & Paint or Amazon is responsible for the packaging, but it is apparently not enough for the rough trip that it took getting to me.The only reason that I did not return the item was due to the heavy plastic bag (estimated at 5mil) that was wrapping the can that held the lid in place just enough to prevent any product leakage outside the box. I also had a recently emptied can of the same product to pour the product into.I probably will not order again unless Strand's Flooring & Paint/Amazon.com modifies their packaging and specifically updates their product description to reflect a change since the current packaging does not offer sufficient protection for this product to make it through the increasingly rough Amazon shipping and handling process.
