Is it tear free for the kiddies?

Yes certainly not had any issues with my 3 year old who can be fussy and has sensitive skin too

Do i need the spray too?

I buy this as a preventative measure to reduce the risk of catching nits. I usually use the shampoo on its own. Hope this helps. GG

does this shampoo and the spray kill the nits and headlice. my toddler got nits!!!

It is more a preventative. It is best to use a nit comb to remove the nits alongside using this shampoo to prevent reoccurrence. However if you find any live lice, you will need to use a treatment to kill these and the lice also again using a nit comb to remove (must treatment packets include a fine toothed comb). Good luck!
