I'll forever be a KEEN customer.
So, I would like to begin by saying that I am very, very picky when it comes to my shoes as I have very sensitive feet. My priorities, in order are safety, comfort/fit, durability, design, cost. So, yeah, cost is the last thing I look for when I'm looking at shoes. Normally, when I go to a store, I begin trying on shoes regardless of their looks until I find the right fit and comfort. I have to say, when this shoe, I was blown away on how good they feel on my feet. I honestly have to keep checking to see if I'm wearing safety toe shoes because they do not feel like it at all. Also, normally, I do not wear safety shoes all day because in the past I have never found any that didn't kill my feet before the day is out. Not these shoes. They fit phenomenally well and are very comfortable. As for the durability, I've only had these shoes for 3-days now, but I can say I am very pleased on the feel of the construction of the shoe especially with the back of the shoe where the heel goes. It doesn't look like I'll have to worry about it wearing there as I walk as most shoes I've worn do. The fit/comfort is there as well as the feel of durability and now to the design, this is a good looking shoe, so I would not hesitate to pay what they're asking. I'm sold. I'll definitely be a KEEN customer from now on.

Shoes are important.
I'm a landscaper, i use to get really cheap 20 dollar Walmart shoes, blow through them in about 2 months completely unusable and replace. About 3 years ago I decided to try some keens even though they cost 3 times what wallmart shoes do. Well guess what? They last a full year or longer so I'm actually saving tons of money buying these, they have the durability of boots but the freedom of sneakers. Now don't get me wrong, there are times I will still wear boots depending on the job, but 90% of the time these are my go to. They may seem a little hard at first before you break them in, but 100% more confterble then boots after a few days. I walk a lot on uneven/rough terrain which is why normal shoes fall apart very quickly, these keens also have great grip on roofs (for those that go up there to clean gutters with a leaf blower on steep roofs). As I mentioned before these are worth the price, they also provide near boots quality resistance to dropping things on your feet, ever stubbed your toe because you are paying more attention to your work then how you walk? Well you won't feel a thing with these. Another important thing, your feet won't be sore at the end of the day like when you wear boots, if you have a labor intensive job I can't reccomend these enough, some may complain they are heavy, those people aren't using them for work, they are most likely only using them for hiking while they have desk jobs. Landscapers and construction workers who are used to actually moving for a living will not be bothered by their weight, trust me.

Very comfy safety work shoe
Update from after a year of wearing. The shoes have been very comfortable and durable. High marks for that as poor fitting shoes are extremely painful for me to wear. The elastic lacing system did make for quick putting on and taking off. However the elastic kept wearing out quickly. I replaced the quick lace system 3 times, even going with other brands before I switched to regular laces. One problem that I did not anticipate is not necessarily a problem with the design or manufacture of the shoe. I was finding that due to my neuropathy I apparently was raising my big toes while walking. My big toes were rubbing against the steel toe cap. This was destroying my socks and on occasion damaging my toe nail. Sadly I had to quit wearing them and switch to the Keen Braddock soft toe. Still a great shoe. Very comfortable, cool, relatively light weight for a steel toe and durable. I recommend it. I have a couple of problems with my feet. I've got peripheral neuropathy which gives me nerve pain and plantar fasciitis. I wear insoles in almost all of my shoes. I have not had to do that in these shoes. I do handyman work and also work around horses so having protective shoes is pretty much a must. I have work boots that I wear nearly every day which I like but I was wanting something that was closer to a hiking shoe that I could wear with shorts during the heat of summer. I already have owned a couple pairs of the Keen sandals and have loved them. I liked that these were water repellant and was intrigued by the lacing system. Well, after having and wearing these shoes for a little over a week I can tell you that these are very comfortable and I have not replaced the insole. Good arch support and comfortable cushioning. These are a bit heavier than typical hiking shoes due to the steel toe protection. It is not felt while walking though. Water protection is there but since these are low profile shoes you will have some moisture get in over the top edge. Water does seem to run off when I hose off the bottom of my shoes after walking around the pasture in mud. The lacing system is something I'm not fully decided on yet. It does make putting the shoes on and lacing up quicker. The loop is a bit long and stretches out to almost the toe box when cinched up. I have found that I can remove the clip on the end and shorten the laces if I decide to. By the way, these are laces and not an elastic cord such as what is found on the Keen sandals. There have been a few instances of the laces becoming loose. It is also possible to remove the lace and clip and replace with normal shoe laces. Will be curious to see how well these hold up. From first appearances they look and feel very sturdy and should do well. That has been the case with my Keen sandals.

Very nice anti slip bottom, strong and durable, but my feet sweat a lot more than my previous keen circadia which were not meant for summer use.
