Sesame Street: Elmo's World - Favorite Things! [DVD]

It's an Elmo overload!
Unlike most of the DVDs featuring the little red furry guy, this one contains seven episodes and is about two hours long. Perfect for a car trip or a rainy afternoon. If your toddler or preschooler is anything like mine, they will want to watch it over... and over... and over... and the plus side here is that you get to go a lot longer before it starts to repeat (and you memorize the entire dialogue). Very cute, very well done, great topics. Not "educational" per se, but it does do a great job reinforcing vocabulary for kids in the one- to two-year-old range and it will entertain the three- to five-year-old with the silly antics.

Do you want to binge on Elmo's world favorite things?
Of course not. But your 2 year old probably does. And sometimes, you're just so grateful that this movie compilation exists. Like when a pipe breaks, and you need to keep your child entertained and glued to the sofa. LIFESAVER!

Good kids program
My son loves Elmo. The show teaches good lessons like washing hands. I find him washing his hands and saying the same things from the show. Nice wholesome show for kids.

good movie, but if you purchase it via Amazon.com you cant watch it anywhere without internet access/wifi...
My Autistic son loves these Elmo's World videos and a few years back we had several Elmo's World Dvd's which got scratched up and maybe half of them are still around in working condition. Our son suffering from Autism Spectrum Disorder has certain "obsessive" behaviors, like wanting to watch the same movie over and over again... So we thought that by purchasing and/or replacing some of his lost or played beyond playable condition videos/dvd's in a digital format (Amazon video), we would have access to these videos just as if they were in our dvd library. This wasn't the case... Let me explain further...When I purchase a dvd or blu ray disc I can upload it in digital format to my computer's hard drive and then using the appropriate software I can reformat that video to play or save on my sons kindle, or my daughter's ipad, or any other system I choose. What is nice about this is that I can buy a dvd/blu ray disc and save it on a hard drive for long term archiving, and I can copy/reformat to several different devices, therefore being able to take the video (or several videos) on the road on the kids (or parents) various devices.Sounds reasonable right? If I purchased the rights to view a movie shouldn't I be allowed to watch it on any device I choose (tv, ipad, kindle, android phone, iphone, etc)?Well, Amazon does not allow you to upload your purchased videos to any devices other than Amazon devices (Kindle), so if you for example, pay $20 for a new movie and hope to upload it to your child or grandchild's ipad, Amazon won't allow it. So you would therefore be forced to either go to another website or to a local retailer and purchase a digital copy of the same movie you just paid $20 for. Of course you can view your purchased Amazon video online, but on our trips to the beach we travel through areas with no cellular or wifi service, so our purchased product is not available to us in those areas, which are the areas that these videos we purchased would be deemed most valuable.

Elmo's World FTW
My toddler is OBSESSED with Elmo's World and this is a great compilation of 15 minute episodes! She loves the birthday episode where baby Elmo blows out his birthday candles. Really cute.

Elmo is our favorite thing!
I work in a baby room in a daycare. We watch Elmo and Word World most of the time. It's nice having a dvd that lasts longer than 30 minutes. The babies enjoy this one.
