Water The Garden With Ease
This garden wand is easy to connect to a hose and is easy to use to water at the base flowers and vegetables. The length is just right for a person who is 5’2” to reach the base of my plants in a comfortable way. The product design with a thumb switch on the handle to adjust the water flow is smart and functional.

Breaks water flow into gentle shower
1st one I bought has lasted 30 years but I needed another for the front yard. I believe this one will last just as long. Simple design, easy to use, the shutoff valve turns smoothly. The water flow breaks into a gentle shower. There's only one pattern to this but I prefer it to a multi pattern wand as the water flow is dispersed so you can water seedlings and transplants without damaging them. If either of these ever wears out, I'd happily buy another.

Ordered two, one received incomplete . . .
This is not a review regarding the Dramm wand, in my opinion they are one of the most simple and reliable water wands available, no leaks; however I ordered, paid for and received two wands and received one complete wand and one without the plastic lever or valve. The lever or valve allows the user to turn the wand on and off when in use independent of the house or supply valve. Dramm supplies many of their water wands with plastic or brass shutoff valves and the additional cost of the valve is reflected in the price of the wand. Amazon lists this wand as being "equipped with one touch lever activated valve" and the valve or lever is referenced three times in the About this item section. I would simply return the one wand that was delivered without the valve, or both wands, however I have been schooled (burned?) by previously making or attempting a return to Amazon and the returned item not being sent back to Amazon by UPS, and as a result the credit for the return was again charged back to my credit card and I had nothing to show for my expenditure. Frustrating and left me shaking my head. Therefore, I will keep both wands and give Amazon a low rating utilizing the only way that I know how to do so. Once again, this review is directed at Amazon for sending me an incomplete product and not Dramm, which is a very good company that still manufactures many of their products in the USA and I am a satisfied user of many of their products. Come on Amazon, execute properly on your end!

The plastic piece at the bottom stripped after a month of use.
Had to order a separate brass flow adjuster because the one that comes with the wand stripped after the first month.

Best gentle water wand for the price
Ive tried all sorts of water wands. The professional ones that run $50 are the best. But if you want something better than HD or LW hardware stores, get these. They don't leak, last about 2 years, have a well functioning on/off valve. Dramm has great products, but their warranty department is difficult to navigate now. I once received a replacement head for a cracked head but those days are gone. If I need a replacement in a year or two Ill probably get the stainless head. Fortunately the heads, valves, and wands are interchangeable.

Everyday workhorse
Like most people, I've bought those colorful home center wands with plastic parts that fail within a season. The real value of this wand is the shaft that has a standard metal female hose connector at one end. The value is connected to that. The ball valve is plastic or PVC, but that's OK because if it ever starts to leak I can just screw in a commonly available replacement hose valve. That's a big improvement compared to other manufacturer's wands where when the valve fails. you throw the whole thing out. The head is also plastic, which might bother some people, but Dram metal heads are available if you want to upgrade if the plastic one wears out in the future. The important thing is the shaft and threads are all metal and the price is right.
