GoFit Ultimate ProGym

This is a handy, well designed item. I was surprised by the quality of the the exercises that are demonstrated on the DVD. They focus on strengthening the core. I had just finished a course of PT for a back issue and these exercises were consistent with those prescribed by my physical therapist. My only quibble may have more to do with my own impatience, and has nothing to do with the quality of the product, but applies to the use of bands in general. Each time you want to change the height of the bands you have to unthread the bands from the strap that holds them in place behind the door, open the door and move the door strap, and rethread the bands. As I speak I wonder how anybody who's too lazy to do that can get teh motivation to exercise at all.

Somebody was really thinking clearly in designing the GoFit Ultimate ProGym. This kit is very easy to pack and yet has enough resistance to support a pretty thorough upper and lower body workout when you travel. The quality of construction is as good as any I've seen in competing resistance band products. It has all the attachments required to hook it up to door frames and to attach to your feet. If I have one beef it is that the accompanying DVD needs additional engineering so that you can access individual exercises directly from menus. Some options are offered but it doesn't always reliably return to the menu after going over an exercise. One addiditonal benefit is access to the web site. There are other exercises on the web site and there are "mini" videos available to demosntrate how to do them properly. We are so pleased with this product that we bought a second one to keep at our vacation condo.

These work great for high energy work out and you can adjust the resistance so easy with this and gain complete muscle exhaustion with these. And take up no space,

I ordered this product to add more variety and challenge to my toning workouts. Fitness bands are particularly great for women, who may want to gain muscle strength without bulking up. This product comes with three fitness bands of varying resistance. I was pretty surprised how hard some of the exercises were even with the lightest resistance band--but they all felt good and gave me a challenge. I really loved the accessories the bands came with--a door strap and ankle straps. With the door strap you put it in the door frame and close the door, then loop the band through it. If you put the door strap at the top of the door or at shoulder level, there are many excellent shoulder exercises you can do. You can also put it lower in the door frame to do exercises sitting, or lying down. If you exchange the handles for the ankle straps, you can work your leg muscles, also using the door strap. The only thing I didn't really like was the DVD. It was definitely helpful the first time I used the bands--showing a variety of exercises and correct form for each one. But, you can't really use it from start to finish for your workout. The instructor only demonstrates how to do the exercises--she doesn't lead you through doing them on each side of the body, etc, for a full workout. Also, you frequently have to change to and from the door strap and ankle straps, which takes about 30 seconds, so you have to pause the DVD between most exercises, which is kind of annoying after a few times. Luckily, the kit also comes with a poster that shows all of the exercises and explains good form on each, so that is helpful for everyday use. This is a great kit for travelers. You can just bring the one resistance band you're using at the moment, the accessories, and the poster, if you need it.

Very easy to use anywhere. On a door that opens in, just put the little part covered with the woven nylon and is the size of a spool of thread inside the door jam and pull the door closed. The spool has a sturdy woven nylon strap that comes out between the door and the jam to adjust to the height of the exercises whether shoulder high or ankle high. The other end is sewn like the end of a woven nylon dog leash where you hold it in your hand and colored bands just slide through. All of the handles are made of the same woven nylon and connect to the colored exercise bands. I do not use a closet door or door handle because they open out. A bedroom door or bathroom door will not have any extra stress when you use the spool in the jam and no damage will occur to the finish on your door.

I take these when I travel and don't have access to a gym. I also have a pair set up in a more permanent way in a home gym. The elasticity is reliable; stretch and recoil of the bands feels equal and holds up after many uses - unlike some cheap competitors. I like that they come with door frame protectors so I don't have to worry about marring trim/woodwork.

I have used this product for over a year now, and have recommended it to many of my exercize-phobic friends. I purchased it to supplement my regimen on days when weather prohibits swimming in my pool, which is only about 60 days per year. I enjoyed them so much I now use them and some dumbells every night in addition to the swimming. It is interesting how the bands and the dumbells provide a different workout doing the same exercizes. I like alternating both. The best feature in my opinion is the instructional DVD. The instructor clearly demonstrates the correct way to use the bands. It really helps. Also, the chart that comes with the kit is easy to understand, but nothing beats the DVD. After awhile, of course, you don't need it. The blue band snapped after about six months. I called GoFit and they promptly sent a free replacement which has lasted. Bottom-line: after a year of faithful use I can honestly say I am stronger and look better. What more can you ask for?

The carabiner Metal fastener does NOT attach to the metal ring on the ankle strap,instead it attaches to the same loop of fabric the metal ring goes through. Then wind the strap around your ankle, through the metal ring, and and press the Velcro to close. Overall the GoFit Gym is well made with a good mix of high quality resistance bands.

I came across the GoFit product as I as looking for a way to strengthen my upper body to improve my golf swing. As I was browsing the web site of a large golf store in Quebec, I saw the GoFit Ultimate Pro Gym set. As usual I went on amazon and found the set sold by amazon for less than 40$ and bought it. I started using it and found it extremely easy to use and very efficient. What I appreciate most about it is that from the moment I decide to exercise and the moment I am ready to do so, it takes no more than 60 seconds. Even better, there is no large equipment taking up space in the house. Those who have a wife will understand why that is a major plus! I can even bring it with me on vacation and she won't say a thing. I liked it so much that I decided to buy a second set to have more tubes. Than I found the Extreme Pro Gym that was on special at about 50$ and bought this one which is much more robust that the ultimate kit. If you can afford, go with the Extreme Pro Gym, else this Ultimate Pro Gym kit is still a great buy.

Me han gustado bastante, son flexibles a a hora de cambiar el ejerciocio ya sea con sus distintos adaptadores. Estan muy nuevas aun, pero el material parece bastante durable. Lo recomiendo

Very well made and solid products. The handles are not foam covered (like many others) they are hard rubber. Everything is well stitched. Tubing has good resistance. This is a good reputable company. I looked at other brands but they are much cheaper quality. I however decided to purchase the Extreme Pro instead only because I prefer the ankle straps and it has a couple of more attachments. Worth the extra money. Unfortunately not sold on Amazon anymore so I bought it elsewhere. I also purchased the GoFit Resistance Bar. Excellent!!! A must add-on if you have the ProGym. Also, they have the best customer service if you have any problems.

I've owned many exercise machines, including an expensive Soloflex, and this is by far the best and most convenient. I even throw it in my bag when I travel and can work out anywhere.
