Well written. Impressive holistic summary that gives the reader a great intro or refresher of the core subject matter. Good for distribution, underwriting, and claims. Actuarial and finance with interest in the business of eligibility, selection, and coverage will also appreciate this text. Highly recommend.

I am reading this book on Kindle, and some of the illustrations the book refers to are out of bound, either too small to read or at times appears irrelevant. At first, my initial blame was toward the book but then realized it was the kindle UI that didn't show the book content as it was intended. I will never buy another study books with illustrations on kindle, only novels and fiction stuff.

Excellent starter book to learn concepts of insurance, managing general agency, wholesale, and reinsurance in P&C industry. It covers many concepts a generalist can understand.

The book is written for consumers and not for course takers. There are questions and answers in the book. However, I found the reading information limited. Each person has different needs; the book just did not meet mine. The book is also without an index.

It is a good book, easy to understand when they explain the terms of insurance.

At less than 100 pages it is skinny on detail. I’m sure I could have downloaded free material from the insurance industry which would have been more helpful. I have not been able to find a book which sets out the workings of the insurance industry from American, UK or Canadian publishers.
