This trap is what my neighbours bought after borrowing one from a cat rescue organisation. It is basically perfect and confysing but then quickly very easy to set up im very pleased its the same one they had and they caught 15 cats and kittens.

When I first saw this after unpacking I thought this would never work such a simple mechanism two bars resting against each other but how wrong I was caught stray cat after only 15 mins worked like a treat really easy to set up well worth the money definitely five stars

I purchased this trap to catch feral cats that regularly visit for food at our villa in Cyprus, particularly 3 females that continually have kittens. I’ve tried several times over the last 3 years without success using other methods, but, within minutes of setting up the trap I caught one. However, it went crazy and managed to bust out and escape from forcing the join at the front and side open at the door end. We made it bust proof by adding more cable ties at all 4 corners, and set up again, the ginger one was sucessfully trapped and taken to the vet for sterilisation etc. The assembly instructions could have been a little clearer but between 2 of us we sussed it out. The only thing that bothered me was the trap door slamming down, it could potentially slam down on the tail if it’s sticking out and makes quite a loud noise which spooks the cat even more so I put a small block of polystyrene at each side to cushion it which I removed once the cat was safely enclosed. It’s definitely effective and worth the money. It’s conveniently flat packed for easy transportation.

Easy to set up and whilst I didnt think ti was big enough and thought it was quite flimsy, it has held up pretty well and managed to catch a big boy who was bullying my girls - we had him castrated at the Cat protection people and then release back. I used two cable ties (not included) to secure the back but overall a really good trap that is easy to set. As others, I too was worried about the cat catching it's tail but all ended up well. Highly recommended to all.

I had been trying for days to catch my cat to take her to the vet, without any success. With this trap, it took only 10 minutes after setting it up to safely catch her. On top of that, I even used the trap as a carrier to bring her to the veterinarian. Highly recommended!

I ordered this trap to trap my missing cat, as I was fairly certain I knew where she was. It was very hard to put together, fortunately a neighbour helped and he checked it was working before we deposited it with food at the back of the cage behind the trip plate. Over the days the trap door was not down, meaning she had not gone in. to entice her every day I put food at the entrance of the trap, and then moved it further backwards every day, until after 5 days I stopped the food so she would take the food I had left at the back of the cage behind the trip plate. still no descent of the trap door. I had put tea towels over the cage to stop the food going soggy in the rain. fortunately I lifted the towels only to see to my horror the food was gone, meaning she had gone in to eat it but the trap door had not come down. as I had started the staged food the next day, this meant she went in soon after the trap was put down. I fiddled with the trap, and it worked and 4 hours later she was in it. I could have got her back 5 days sooner had the trap worked. there are 2 rods at the side which have to be perfectly aligned, they are easily moved I think this could be the problem. I cant recommend this product due to how easily it can fail

We had a little stray kitten by a railway track and we got this to catch her. Did take a while to figure out the mechanism. We were worried because the ground wasn’t flat so we took the box and put it on the box which is really sturdy. A trail of freshly roasted chicken and she was in! It worked first time. Brilliant!!

Bought this to try and find my very timid missing cat. He had already been missing a week when I started using it. The first night the trap was still empty, the 2nd night we caught a neighbourhood stray (safely released) and on the 3rd night we caught our missing cat. As he is so timid and doesn’t come when called I’m sure we wouldn’t have got him back without this trap. It wasn’t that difficult to put together, was very effective and the value for money is worth every penny if you manage to find a missing pet.
