CAUTION - Know what you're getting
First of all, this item is an ACCESSORY to the B-GRIP EVO Camera Belt holster system. It attaches to the camera via the holster base plate that you already own. If you don't own one, this product is useless to you.Having said all that, it works fine. After some fussing around with the various settings to fit your hand, it feels natural and the camera is rock steady in your grasp. Getting it fitted is not that easy. The unit is nothing more than two stamped our pieces of rubber with four nuts/bolts, and a plastic clip for the D-ring where your strap would attach. Putting it all together is not intuitive and takes a little time.IMHO, this kid is priced about twice what it should be, but if you already own and like the B-Grip holster system, which I do, it's the only game in town. Finally, after all those negatives, I'll say that the materials and fit seem to be first rate. I have no problem reaching the controls on my DSLR with my medium sized hands. I expect it to hold up under heavy use and I don't regret the purchase so far. I'll update when I've had it a bit longer.

Missing Parts and Terrible Instructions
Shipped missing parts! The small red strap shown on the picture at upper left used to attach the strap to the camera simply was not in the package. The instructions are terrible! Take this piece of rubbery trash back!

Not quite
When I opened the envelope that the b-grip HS was delivered in I had a feeling that it might not work for me. The product features and product details say nothing about this being an accessory and the product description only mention how it can "enhance your belt system." This is misleading when on the packaging it says, "HS is an accessory for b-grip belt camera holder available seperately." I tried to attach this to the bottom of the camera with two different plates and I was unable to. I could modify the handstrap to make it work or purchase the complete system but nither options excite me.Overall impression of the product is that the rubber handstrap material should hold up to repeated use. I can't comment on the comfort but it seems to me that ones hand may sweat with this rubber strap across it. The plastic screws and nuts that are used to hold the two halves together seem a bit on the low end. I dont feel that they will hold up to "... periodically check(ing) the correct tightening of every part."I had high hopes that this would work as a stand-alone, but not quite.

Possible to use with out the other B-Grip products
I use to have my out of the box canon strap, but when taking long exposure pictures with my tripod, the wind would move the strap. Even the most subtle motion would ruin a good photo... Not any more :)Pros - Very practical,- Adjustable for different hand sizes- it feels comfortable and you can access all buttons and you would without it on- It looks very nice when wearing it (people will ask you about it)Cons - Gets on the way for a quick battery change (you have to lose the screw from the tripod mount to rotate it out of the way)- it is part of a full system called B-Grip, so it has been design to work "only" with their line of products, belt holster, strapetc, etc.Solution: I sliced a couple of small plastic pieces out of the strap to make it flat so I can use it with my own tripod mount. Works great :)

Awesome hand strap; secure, comfortable, built like a tank.
Unlike the other reviews thus far, this has been an amazing hand strap for me and easily outlasted my prior staps. I have primarily used this product with a Canon 60D DSLR combined with either a Canon EF-S 18-200mm or Sigma 10-20mm f/3.5 EX DC HSM lenses.Pros:(1) The grip is built like a tank and allows for a comfortable secure hold. The strap is made of grippy, thick, wide, heavy duty rubber material; which I like better than the cord and small leather padded ovals construction of most other grips. It also protects your knuckles and hand in case of any bumps or scrapes (hey sh*t happens). Once your hand is in the strap, it is not going anywhere.(2) It distributes the camera/lens weight extremely well along the hand. During this summer, I used it on multiple on all day nature hikes/shoots around Anchorage, AK attached to my Canon 60D, 18-200mm lens, and battery grip with zero fatigue or strain. I could easily let the camera "hang" off on my hand (without gripping it) while using one finger for leverage to prevent it from swaying. Prior grips have not felt anywhere as comfortable or secure during long usage.(3) Integrated stand; I am amazed manufacturer does not advertise this point and the price is worth this feature alone. Around the handgrip base/trip pod mount there is a sturdy swing-out square (you can see it in the product picture), which creates a mini-stand to set your camera keeping it off the ground (amazing feature in forests and nature) or changing lenses. It had no issues supporting my 18-200mm lens. In a pinch, this also doubles as a stand for self/group pictures (just put something underneath the front to raise the level), especially if you have a wireless remote.(4) Integrated tri-pod mount; bottom portion/base of the grip screws directly into the tri-pod socket and doubles as a tri-pod mount.(5) Easy adjustability; there are 4 mini bolts and nuts securing the rubber strap to the camera attachment point; 2 on the top and 2 on the bottom. The bottom has about 10 closely spaced holes that are quick and easy to adjust preferred lengths when I am going to/from my camera grip.Cons:(1) The downside of the tank like built and burliness is it might not suit people with smaller hands. I think it might be a little too restricting and/or limiting reach on the camera controls. I am 6'3" 220 lbs with 9" max hand length (bottom of palm to top of middle finger), so the grip is perfect for me without any reach issues mentioned by another reviewer.(2) It lacks a dupilicate/replacement tri-pod screw-in point. Therefore, it negates the usage/connectivity of a body strap at the same time. I have friends for whom hand-strap AND body-strap is a must at the same time, but that does not allow quick snap-in ability into a tripod. I prefer the convinience of having of a build it trip-pod plate, but it is all a matter of personal shooting styles.(3) Once your hand is in the strap, it is not going anywhere. If you constantly/frequently take your hand in-and-out of the grip; this might not be very convineint due to the grippy bulky nature of the strap.Other thoughts:I am not sure about the comment made that this hand grip is a part of a system and does not work by itself. While I think it can be used in conjuncture with other B-GRIP products (belt clip in?), my understanding was the much more expensive B-GRIP PLUS strap is the one that is best used as part of a complete system. This hand grip works marvelously all by itself for me.

Very Useful, but...
The hand strap works fine, and it is a comfortable way to carry a camera. However, it does not seem to fit my camera (SonyHX 300) very well. The straps don't fit flat on the bottom, and the mounting plate has to be removedto get at the chip. Lastly, the directions are not helpful at all.I do use it regularly, though.

Not useable without B-Grip Baseplate
As other reviews have stated, this handstrap is an accessory to the b-grip system and needs the b-grip baseplate to mount to the bottom of your camera. This should be much clearer in the description.
