Almost looks like an OLED, and the speakers are great. Good entertainment screen.
I ordered this monitor because I wanted great contrast for dark games such as space flight games, great colours and high refresh rate and resolution to get the most out of RTX 3080 graphics. And because of the built-in speakers, it turned out to be a great all-round display for use with my MacBook Pro for watching HDR movies, Nintendo Switch for playing all kinds of games, as well as my gaming PC of course. This monitor was the perfect middle ground between the Dell 3220DGF and the Samsung Odyssey G7 in terms of price point and performance. It has speakers and 550 nits brightness, both of which the Dell does not have.It also does not suffer from adaptive sync flicker that the Samsung display suffers from at lower frame-rates due to its extreme 240Hz refresh rate and 60Hz Low Frame-Rate Compensation (LFC) threshold – the ViewSonic LFC kicks in below ~48-52Hz so you will only see brightness flickering on games that run at around 48-52 FPS and have high FPS variance (i.e. games which are CPU bound and constantly fluctuating between 40 FPS and 60 FPS). If you encounter adaptive sync flicker then you can always just disable it and use V-Sync instead, or try lowering the display brightness. This display offers fantastic dynamic range and TV quality speakers. It is also has the goldilocks specs of 27" display (larger than expected in person!) and 2560x1440 @ 165Hz resolution. I absolutely recommend it for the £500 price.

Excellent 2K G-Sync display
Seriously fantastic monitor!Sturdy, good build quality. Great display, sharp, fast and smooth.Yes, there is a bit of light coming through in very dark scenes, but after a little tweaking you can reduce it and it's not really a problem. The only thing that bothers me is the RGB lighting underneath keeps resetting itself to be on. I can't stand all this import racer under lighting on PC hardware, I'm not Sean Boswell in F&F: Tokyo Drift.Excellent for Nvidia GTX 1080 and RTX 3080, even good with an AMD graphics card, though not sure why you'd bother getting this monitor for an AMD card.Works great on Xbox One X. PS4 is not as good, it's a bit blurry due to not supporting the native resolution and using supersampling instead. Tried a PS5 on it and it's not worth it, unless Sony sort out the native resolution support for 2K displays.

Incredible fidelity for the price
This product displays incredible picture fidelity and being G-Sync integrated is essential to me after using this monitor for a few months. I have used this monitor daily for over 10 hours a day and it is incredibly easy on the eyes, causing much less eye strain than my prior VA non-G-Sync monitor. The only feature lacking from this monitor is HDR but the black on the monitor itself is high quality and for the price, is a very good choice.

CRT like movement clarity
pro:- great, nearly CRT level, backlight strobbing (PureXP/ULMB) at and under 119hz, and no buzzing- pics of PureXP: 100hz https://imgur.com/a/d1yIufe and 119hz https://imgur.com/a/0h88JxS- instant one button on/off for PureXP (if you configure the quick access button)- great IPS viewing angles and colors- adaptive sync, no tearing or stutter, great for games that can't run at 100+ fps- can turn off the power button led- height, tilt, rotate adjustments- fast turn on, resolution change (2.5s)con:- noticeable backlight bleeding in lower right when the picture is black (if I squeeze the frame a bit it goes away, a clamp might work)- some crosstalk in strobbing mode (ULMB), not CRT perfect, and very bad at 144hz and 240hz- PureXP firmware not out yet (no levels, only on/off)other:- 240hz (I don't use it, since I prefer vsync 120hz)- can't combine adaptive sync with PureXP- HDR (don't have any content to test it)- slim bezel (but half a centimeter around the screen is unused, like a black frame)- chroma leds in the back, I don't use them- flashable firmware capability, usb slots- no DVI input- elite hood side panelsOverall, a great improvement over my old VG278H TN monitor.Waiting for microled monitors in the future.
