This leash is working great. Our dog is a bit wild and can really put stress on her leash, so I tend to replace them after a year or two rather than wait for a leash to fail. The strap on this is wider than her previous leash, so I feel more confident it will hold up to her antics.I am 6' 4" and have pretty large hands. The handle is big enough for me to comfortably hold the lease without my fingers getting cramped, even with winter gloves on. The angle of the handle makes it very easy to restrain her without stressing my wrist. The brake button is larger than any leash I've previously used, and is very easy to use.

The media could not be loaded.  I bought two of these retractable leashes, and had a great first experience walking my 2 kids (2 pitbulls 90 lbs & 70 lbs). Before the second walk the big one chewed up the tape. Tim from Tug Pet Products emailed me about receiving the product and after explaining, he sent me a new replacement. I went from feeling like I spent double on one leash to completely satisfied as a customer of Tug Pet Products. Thank you, Tim and TPP!! PS. If you make an unchewable version, let me know!

UPDATE 6/1/19 : Still 5 stars! Had some issues with the leash after 9 months. Contacted the company within 30 minutes had an email response. I explained my problem and was told in the next email that they would be sending me out a new product immediately. I got the new product today and could not be happier. Not only is the leash a good leash but the company stands behind it and that makes all the difference!! Thanks for great service!I was very impressed with the quality of this product. It just feels well made. In comparison to this one's I've seen at Walmart or Target these are superior. Also purchased the poop bags that are attached very easily to this leash and makes it easy to carry around and clean up after your pup

Well designed! Comfortable to hold and very smooth operation. The temporary lock is very easy to lock, which I could see being very helpful to anyone with weak hands or arthritis. The hold lock feature is smooth as well, easy to manipulate. The leash is allowed to extend and retract in a wide array of angles without binding which has been a great feature for our use.

We recently took our two big girls to the beach and these Tug retractable leashes worked great. It gave them a little extra run-around room and let them feel they could explore but also gave us great control to know we could stop them from getting into things they shouldn't. They were easy to operate and easy to handle.

My 60 lb labrador and golden retriever mix is not leash trained well at all. The leash was very sturdy and feels great in my hand. The retracting mechanism worked like a charm and I definitely would recommend after trying plenty of others. Can't beat the price either!

Good product! I have 2 large labs (one is 90 pounds and one is 60 pounds). They both pull on the leash and it holds up well.

Love this leash! I have two ~20lb. furbabies, 2-year-old Beagle and 1-year-old Dachshund/Pomeranian Mix. Both VERY energetic & erratic on a leash (especially if the beagle catches a scent!). My fiancee and I purchased this leash, and attached a bungee leash coupler to allow us to walk them both at the same time. We love the soft grip on the handle, and the lock button is easy to push! We've ordered several leashes from Amazon and after a few weeks or so, they're worn or completely dysfunctional. The TUG Leash has been through Louisiana thunderstorms, and the bouncing/pulling/biting of 2 very happy furbabies!

I have a RIDICULOUSLY strong staffie! She’s not the biggest but can shred virtually any toy without fail and if she sees a cat on a walk or someone we know you best believe she’s pulling (working to get this under control, as she was a rescue we have only had for a few months:)) and she has previously snapped two extendable leads, one within the first use of it so I tried this due to the amazing reviews! And I will never go back, it hasn’t frayed, snapped or anything despite her strength and is super comfortable to hold (also a lush colour!) would highly recommend!:)

The media could not be loaded.  Fantastic lead! It's lightweight but strong. My dog, Tiger (pictured here) is a strong boy, and nearly pulled out my partners arm when he tried running down the lake, but the lead didn't snap at all! Every other lead I've had has snapped or stopped working, especially the retractable ones.It looks nice, it's lengthy, the buttons to let it loose, hold and lock in place are great too, so fluid and simple. It even came with a spare lead if my dog were to destroy the current one! 10/10 would buy this again but I don't think I'll need to as its so good 😁😁😁

This lead was amazing while it worked but unfortunately snapped at the top yesterday while walking our Dachshund he isn’t a massive dog and well within weight for This style lead. Luckily my daughter managed to catch him in time as he is a sprinter! Such a shame as it is only around 2 months old and I expected it to last a little longer. I do wonder if we were just unlucky and it was faulty.

Absolutely appalled with this product, I used it for the first time ever today with on my 9kg dog. The lead was straight out of the packet, I only Walked around 5 minutes before the lead decided to snap into two without my dog pulling or chewing at it at all.Luckily I attached the extra extension so I had something to walk my dog home with!Is there anyway I can send back the lead because it broke?

I have to give this leash a five star review. While waking our puppy my husband dropped the leash which startled the puppy who then took off running for her life thinking something was chasing her. She dragged it probably 300ft before it somehow detached from her harness (thank goodness). The leash mechanism kept catching on branches and would then catapult towards her reinforcing her fear that a monster was chasing her. My husband said he hasn't run that fast in his life. In the end the leash still works great and has some abrasions from dragging on the ground. Definitely 5 stars for durability.
